Then please.. Tell me.. Where are your info, dyno charts on why you choose this header..

I can honestly tell you a few things about your z header. the primaries aren't bigger then stock, and it wont flow nearly as well as a DC ITR replica.. lol

Your probably paid what.. 400 dollars for that header? You realize vteckidd's header which is what most of us are pushing you to get, is around 350 and you'll make a **** ton of power..well more then what you have now.

but we can't force u to do anything, you ask a question, you got many answers.. its your choice to sort throught them and understand who's been here the longest and actually knows whats going on.. Theres quite a few people in this thread that have seen what "Really" works and whats just hype.

Number one, its not high jacking since Im posting a response to your comment, and to call it high jacking would apply to both you and I since this does not pretain to this thread . All everyone else here sees is you wanting to beat your cheast about how everyone here is silly or lavishly wealthy for using a fully functional tuning platform.

No I get what your saying and understand how it operates so by all means use it.

So let me get this straight, you dont have enough money to get a Hondata or a similiar platform and your saving yourself a chunk of change by going with a piggyback fuel controller, but now you can afford to have me come out to Cali so we can race it out?

Tell ya what, instead of making another ridiculous suggestion just post up an 1/8 or 1/4 mi ET once you get her all dialed in and I promise you I'll do the same with my mildly built LS/V, sound reasonable?

I just took off a 5Zigen 4-2-1 for an SPFab replica header.

Night and day difference, 2.25'' collector vs 2.5'' collector.

If ground clearance is a concern, I'd highly recommend the SPFab, it's just as good as the 5Zigen was, and that was the same as stock.

A while ago I stumbled on this at the Hondatech.com.au site (unrelated to HT I would guess) and found numerous dyno comparisons, using the same motor as i recall. What I cant remember was if the test were "tuned" per each header, or just bolt on and compare header to header.

heres the site http://www.hondatech.com.au/forum/hondatech_index.php

heres the saved dynographs, sorry I didnt save anything else from the thread reguarding the testing conditions and other specifics, when I saved it i mearly cut & pasted the dynographs to a MS Word document.

After reviewing some dyno comparisons here on HT and from this old post on our Aussie domain named site Im starting to see how the RMF narrow or the revised "VTEC Kidd" header is a good buy for the power gained.

EDIT: I did some googling and found the thread but the imagelinks are expired or red X'd, here it is http://www.hondatech.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=575

Header Comparision: DTR, SMSP, RMF, ANR Hytech

PLACING:
1st RMF NARROW 4-1 185.61whp/128.49TQ
2nd SMSP Prototype 4-1 184.70whp/128.98TQ
3rd SMSP 4-2-1 182.38whp/123.82TQ
4th ANR w/Merge 181.05whp/125.79TQ
5th DTR B-Unit 180.82whp/125.46TQ
6th Hytech Production 180.63whp/124.19TQ
7th DC JDM 4-1 174.24whp/124.04TQ

ANR vs Hytech

DC vs Hytech

Hytech vs Smsp 4-2-1

RMF vs Hytech

SMSP 4-2-1 vs ANR Merge

SMSP 4-1 vs RMF 4-1

SMSP 4-1 vs DTR

This is actually a very old test. I believe Importbuilders did this test maybe 5 years ago or so. The headers were tuned with no exhaust.
A good find nonetheless.

I was going to say that. Here's the original test.->https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...ht=header+test

That's also a real RMF Narrow in the test so not a direct comparison.

It would be nice to get some new testing with some of the following.
Hytech, SMSP, RMF, RMF clone, Tri-Y Clone, BISI

I know, but what was it that Vtec Kidd did to make the remake slightly different? Did he move the collector, or did he add longer post collector tubing?

I have no idea if he changed anything really. It was just a disclaimer so no one goes "The RMF replica made mo power than an SMSP yo".

Get a Kteller Ex with Magnaflow muffer. Looks pretty stock, flows pretty well without sounding too raspy from what I've heard.

LHT Performance here in the Tampa area makes an aluminium system that uses the Magnaflow mufflers too.
