Re: Best header for the money????
I can honestly tell you a few things about your z header. the primaries aren't bigger then stock, and it wont flow nearly as well as a DC ITR replica.. lol
Your probably paid what.. 400 dollars for that header? You realize vteckidd's header which is what most of us are pushing you to get, is around 350 and you'll make a **** ton of power..well more then what you have now.
but we can't force u to do anything, you ask a question, you got many answers.. its your choice to sort throught them and understand who's been here the longest and actually knows whats going on.. Theres quite a few people in this thread that have seen what "Really" works and whats just hype.

Re: Best header for the money????
you sound like a retard because you dont get a word im saying. i have never blow up a motor using my tuning method on a NOS, turbo or NA set ups. if you dont realy get how a wideband manual tuning is.. you could just ask and be mature. stop trying to sound smart! you just sound like a fool to me. im too old and experience to hear your childish crap.
why dont you just come down to san jose, ca and lets settle it in a race best out of 3. see who's got the better built car. ill pay for your trip once you get here and beat me. thats is if you do. ill woop your *** than show you my $80 apexi afc. than ill be happy to show you how to fine tune an engine with a wideband o2 with a afc.
Tell ya what, instead of making another ridiculous suggestion just post up an 1/8 or 1/4 mi ET once you get her all dialed in and I promise you I'll do the same with my mildly built LS/V, sound reasonable?

Re: Best header for the money????
I just took off a 5Zigen 4-2-1 for an SPFab replica header.
Night and day difference, 2.25'' collector vs 2.5'' collector.
If ground clearance is a concern, I'd highly recommend the SPFab, it's just as good as the 5Zigen was, and that was the same as stock.

Re: Best header for the money????
A while ago I stumbled on this at the Hondatech.com.au site (unrelated to HT I would guess) and found numerous dyno comparisons, using the same motor as i recall. What I cant remember was if the test were "tuned" per each header, or just bolt on and compare header to header.
heres the site http://www.hondatech.com.au/forum/hondatech_index.php
heres the saved dynographs, sorry I didnt save anything else from the thread reguarding the testing conditions and other specifics, when I saved it i mearly cut & pasted the dynographs to a MS Word document.
After reviewing some dyno comparisons here on HT and from this old post on our Aussie domain named site Im starting to see how the RMF narrow or the revised "VTEC Kidd" header is a good buy for the power gained.
EDIT: I did some googling and found the thread but the imagelinks are expired or red X'd, here it is http://www.hondatech.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=575

Re: Best header for the money????
This is actually a very old test. I believe Importbuilders did this test maybe 5 years ago or so. The headers were tuned with no exhaust.
A good find nonetheless.

That's also a real RMF Narrow in the test so not a direct comparison.

Re: Best header for the money????
I have no idea if he changed anything really. It was just a disclaimer so no one goes "The RMF replica made mo power than an SMSP yo".

LHT Performance here in the Tampa area makes an aluminium system that uses the Magnaflow mufflers too.
