Velocity Stack Mod worth it??
Ive seen a lot of hype over the velocity stack design when it comes to air induction. I used to have one on my cai along time ago and it felt more responsive that when I didn't have it (I know, very subjective). but now I have a PasswordJdm power chamber intake and ive been thinking about other things I can do to make it perform even better. THe stock filter that comes with the powerchamber is a generic cone K&N piece with a solid flat rubber piece at the top so air is only sucked in from the sides. obviously not the best in airflow.
Would purchasing a velocity stack from a company like Spectre or Vibrant racing and then transplanting it on the mouth of the power chamber do me any good? I have kpro so I guess I can always adjust and make power with the extra air....
Also I thought about having my mechanic/fabricator manufacture an aluminum box to 1.deflect heat and 2.channel cool fresh air straight into my intake
tuning would have to happen obviously, or would it not make that much of a difference to be worth the cost/effort?
my train of thought is based on the Gruppe M and Tegiwa airboxes. more air + more fuel with kpro = more power (in general)
plus id like to have something 1 off and different in my engine bay

Re: Velocity Stack Mod worth it??
I'd start with removing the password intake. But the velocity stacks are pretty awesome but when all and all a filter is just a filter. You're not going to make anymore or less noticeable horsepower. 1-5hp maybe difference
not like installing cams or something more noticeable

Re: Velocity Stack Mod worth it??
I have tried searching but haven't had any luck with comparing the Spectre velocity stack vs Blox or Bpi.
Is Spectre vstack worth saving $?
