Re: SYNCHROTECH *** DISCOUNTS & SPECIAL OFFERS ***
Yeap, I want to leave a positive review. Can't get that link to work though
Synchrotech Carbon synchros are a serious upgrade. They have been an absolute godsend. More than three years ago, out of absolute desperation, I had a full set of Syncrhotech Carbon coated synchros put in during the fourth rebuild of my B16a race car tranny that was getting destroyed by the motor's 9,350 RPM redline. I had chance introduction to a rep who was at Thunderhill Raceway, glad of that. I had barely finishing a race due to a balky and crunching tranny in my B16 CTR level Honda Challenge 2 level build that I run all the time in NorCal NASA Group C and several other clubs.
Fast forward, the transmission I put into the car in late 2012 is still there. That is some kind of miracle given I was ripping the insides out of them about every six months for nearly two years. That is over. I am going to credit Sycnhrotech for this, as it was the oem synchro's going out all the time. Starting with the third gear set and then everything would get worse. Not anymore.
The other thing I did was to have WPC Metal treatment done to the third gear set, shifter fork and slider. I am going to say this is also, quite possibly, another reason for the longevity of the tranny. I'd do both. I also began using one quart each of Torco RTF and MTF. (After using Redline, Amsoil and one other brand I forgot, all had failed tranny's fast.) I keep that fluid fresh and change it about every six to eight track days. I have a KAAZ limited slip differential and it has been nothing but flawless for six years. The tranny likes clean fluid and I am happy to provide that.
The above is the silver bullet. I believe that it is a combination of the above that worked for me. I am thinking to have my mechanic open the tranny up an inspection as it will be going on four years.
I have nothing but profound respect for whatever R&D, research and testing went into Synchrotech's Carbon products. I proudly run logo's on both sides of the car as a way to say Thank YOU! and to remind myself and anyone who asks, exactly where I got the cure for the tranny issue. And, lol, the only exception to my "no discount, no sticker" policy that I hold myself to . The other thing is whatever the cost difference between oem and Synchrotech's excellent products is well worth what ever the difference is. I don't know or care if it is $100. Given the hell I was in before making the chance, that is a rounding error in my track expenses. For anyone wanted to see/hear how hard this car/tranny gets pushed, here's a typical race situation in Group C NASA. Clearly the tranny wasn't the issue, out of class race with a v8 PTB Mustang is humbling...

Any deals going on right now? I know this thread is super old but I see that you have been active recently. I drive a 1999 Honda Civic EX Coupe B20B Non-VTEC with GSR (LSD) Tranny. Looking to do a full carbon upgrade. Virginia resident. Let me know what I will be looking at total price plus shipping, and do you guys make commission, if so, tell me who needs it the most so I can contact them so they can make some money. I am a Honda Motorcycle Dealer so I know what it's like to make commission. Anyways, thanks in advance. Any information pertaining the price and contact info for a local shop that has in stock or if it is only able to be shipped, just let me know. I appreciate you!

Wondering if you still offer the free shaft inspection/rebuild service, and what the process is for that?
