TPS problems
Whats up guys Ive recently purchased an 89 CRX with a z6 swap in it. Its still 0bd0 but has been converted from DPFI to MPFI. My question/problem is that I changed out my TPS today and when calibrating it, its reading 4.5v at closed throttle. Ive changed out many TPS and I know its supposed to be set @ .45v closed throttle. Its weird bc its like it is reading backwards, instead of going from .45 @closed throttle to 4.5v @ WOT its going 4.5v to .45v. If anyone has any idea why please let me know. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Re: TPS problems
id say flip the TPS wires, the outside 2 o_o thats usually what causes that problem but since its already had a MPFI swap the harness for the TPS should already be flipped.
id say check the TPS wiring and cut/strip and just soft connect the wires (twist them together) and then test that to see if its getting the correct readings. if so then solder the connections and then heat shrink it for protection!

Re: TPS problems
You are using a CRX DX (DPFI) TPS. Those spin backwards so they read 4.5 volts when closed. You need a MPFI TPS from just about any other Honda/Acura that use the same style TPS.

Re: TPS problems
I switched it to a blox TPS bc it was jumping at partial throttle. I will check the harness and get back with you guys. Thank you for the advice.

Its running on a pm6 si ecu. I didn't do the conversion on the car, I bought it that way. I switched the 2 yellow wires around and it solved the problem thanks for the info guys.

Re: TPS problems
Let me pull half the shoe out of my mouth, a VTEC D series motor. I wasn't thinking of the D16A3 in the CRX Si when I posted that. But I also forgot about chipping the PM6 to support a rpm switch to activate VTEC. That would let you stay OBD0.
Gosh, so many set ups and so hard to keep track of it all. My mistake.

Re: TPS problems
You should check out pgmfi.org to find out about chipping the PM6 and the 1 wire VTEC. It's quite amazing stuff really.

Re: TPS problems
Glad you fixed it. The previous owner probably sold it thinking it was an expensive fix, hope you got it for a good deal.
For the VTEC, just get an ebay jumper harness and P28 ecu Or an OBD0 PR3 VTEC ecu should work fine, that'll be the cheaper choice. If I'm wrong there, somebody please tell me
