Best Place to Get Headwork Done
Hey guys, just to start with, I tried searching for threads on this and i'm sorry if this is a repost, and if it is maybe I didn't use the right search terms or something. If this has been covered and you know where the thread on it is, please kindly point me in that direction.
That being said, I have a JDM D15B head and i'm wanting to get a little work done on it. (3-angle valve job, hot tanked/cleaned, new seals, reassembly, and possibly a mild port & polish if the price isn't crazy high).
I'm wondering what shops you guys recommend. (preferably the types of shops that you contact via e-mail or phone and send in your head to get worked on)
I'm looking for the least expensive shop to go with that still does quality work. Trust me, i'm not looking to cheap out, just looking to get a good deal.
Thanks for any input you may have.

Thanks, it turns out that I actually have talked to him before on another forum and he really knows what he's talking about, and his prices are pretty good, so I sent him an e-mail.

www.theoldone.com
Go through there site and read some of there articles. There is no one else I would rather have do that type of work then them. My friend alex had an engine done by them that was a 1.8 gsr that made 225 to the ground. cheap, fast, reliable..... Pic two, thats all you get.

Re: Best Place to Get Headwork Done
i had my head done by steve and will hopefully have some dyno tests up as soon as my new headgasket arrives and i find time to put it on.
but, RLZ recommends Combustion Contraption if they do not want to wait for their work so that must tell you something about steves work.
I dont think you could go wrong with any of the following:
RLZ
CC
Endyn
Portflow
Mike Belben (if you can get him to do one for you, not sure of his status)

Are you sure you need head work? with a basically stock motor thats daily driven there could be (well there are) other areas that would gain more power per dollar spent.

Re: Best Place to Get Headwork Done
All these people that are saying endyn are halarious and probably didn't get work done with the. RLZ or Portflow are the best for head work and I can say that from experience. Endyn has done heads and lost power.

I assume you are ignoring all of the positive responses from the Endyn followers.
Oh and you prolly heard that Larry works out of his basement. Endyn is just a fake shop also.
All I will say is that the stuff they make works.
