Pros/Cons of Resonator Removal
I did a search on the subject and found a lengthy thread about removing the stock intake resonator for the ITR https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=178659
I have a 98 I4 Accord and would like to know how removing the resonator will 1) affect my gas milage and 2) will removal add or detract from the performance of my engine both in terms of lower end throttle response (I am aware that colder air improves the upper power ban) and the lasting integrity of the engine.
Thank you

nothing will happen to your car, it will free up a hp or two...and even more if you get a k&n dropin filter like i did. for ITR's, the stock intake was designed so well that if you remove the resonator, you will lose hp. but with accords, you will gain.
