crx roll cage w/ stock interior
I have asked people before if a cage would be put in and still keep a mostly stock interior and i was always told NO.
well i just found this crx on ebay
i was wondering though if in this case does it actually have any safety though... or just looks...
i contacted the seller and he said i could post up pics of it. the auction url is: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem

Re: crx roll cage w/ stock interior (stemiched)
You can have a cage and all stock interior (cut, but all in there)...
I have posted an old picture of a cage (terrible picture).
My biggest consorn is where the location is for the rear mounts. Weak part of of the chassis to bolt/weld.....I'd like to see them in a different location, closer/on the strut towers.

I don't know who the hell you were talking to, because I've been driving my CSP/TTE full-interior '91 CRX with a 4-point custom welded-in SCCA/NASA-legal roll bar for years now.
Regarding that eBay car,
A) That is not a "roll cage." It's a roll bar with NHRA-style front supports (which I highly recommend against having unless you are required to run them by the NHRA).
B) That bar is a bit poor-fitting. The main hoop doesn't come close to the pillars at all.
C) I am not a fan of the design. There is no triangulation with the main hoop or rear supports - and no harness bar or diagonal either. The rear supports are also too close together, and their baseplates are on a weak part of the chassis.

That is one of the crappier harness installations that I've seen. That's an Autopower bar, so why didn't they get/use the optional harness bar?

Re: crx roll cage w/ stock interior (doublethink)
look where it mounts behind the seats...in that case look @ everywhere it mounts...that is pure suck, seriously. But i guess for looks to the untrained eye that is badass traction control < style FTMFL
