Re: f22b2 engine valve adjustment (97 accord)

Rotate the crank by turning the crankshaft pulley via the 22mm (i think, it may be a dif size) nut that is accessible through the hole in the driver's side fender liner. You can access this nut...

Re: 3rd gear grinds

Just wanted to share my experience. I have a '94 accord lx with mt, and while it didn't grind, it was a B#TCH to get it into first or reverse. It just wouldn't go into gear (even when completely...

Re: 97 accord Brake lamp (left brake wont work)

Did you replace the bulb yet? I'd do that first, if it still lights up dimly I would pull the bulb socket out and make sure the socket-to-bulb connection is clean/unburnt and the...

Re: idle fluctuates after braking

Just a thought: The vacuum line from the brake booster to the intake manifold on my accord was very loose at the booster... The original clamp didn't secure it very well. It's possible this vacuum...

Re: idle fluctuates after braking

I don't think he meant the hoses on the iacv might be loose, he meant the electrical connector on it may have jostled loose if it wasn't plugged in all the way. It should click shut, so just pull it...

Re: help deciding on maintenance for my '94 accord lx

Last year I drained the coolant from the radiator only and replaced it, other than that I'm not sure when it was done last. You think I should flush the whole system? What's the procedure for...

So, this car (in sig line) has 178k miles on it, and the maintenance was done religiously until 100k. After that, my sister had the car and God knows what was done to it... The oil was like 1.5qts...

Re: 94 Honda accord fuel problems

For the oil in the spark plug tubes, you'll need to replace the upper AND lower spark plug tube seals. They come with the valve cover gasket kit that you can get at any auto parts store for $15-20. ...

Re: Getting my '94 Accord up and running again!

Replaced the distributor cap and rotor today. Checked spark plug wire resistance and they were all in spec so I'm leaving them be. Spark plugs were replaced when I did the lower tube seals last...

Re: help identifying what this connector is for (with pic)

So has the evap canister purge valve been stuck open, or stuck closed the whole time this connector has been unplugged? Is it normal for the CEL to stay off when the connector isn't hooked up? I...

Re: help identifying what this connector is for (with pic)

Nope it's a manual, sorry I thought it said that in my sig.

The reason I'm asking is because while I was removing the fitv/iacv today, I noticed that connector wasn't plugged in. It must have...

What is this connector for? It hooks into a small black box that has two hoses coming out of it: one goes to the top of the throttle body, and the other goes...

Re: Getting my '94 Accord up and running again!

I got off work early today and knocked out a few jobs.

First, I replaced the battery with an Interstate 800cca model.

Then I took off the FITV, tightened up the white ring a bit, and cleaned...

Re: Oxygen Sensor Replacement

I just did this last weekend on a '94 accord lx 2.2L 5spd. It is super easy, but as others mentioned the sensor can be stuck in there pretty good. I used a little bit of PB blaster to free it up...

Re: oil leaks

I would do this. Also get some fluorescent dye to add to the oil, it really helps identify what is a fresh leak vs residual oil stuck in a crack that you couldn't clean 100%. All you need is a...

Re: Getting my '94 Accord up and running again!

Today I ran the engine with some BG Quick Clean added to the oil to clean out the sludge that has built up, then did an oil change and tire rotation. Upon inspection I found a torn CV boot (known...

Getting my '94 Accord up and running again!

So last summer I decided to tinker a bit with my Accord and discovered the PCV valve was totally sludged up, so I replaced the valve/hose/grommet. Then I discovered tons of oil in the spark plug...

Re: diagnosing a/c problem

This is probably a dumb question, but is the cable/valve on the firewall in the engine compartment or under the passenger side dash in the cabin?
