Fouling plugs will cause it to miss, correct me if im wrong there.

But are you leaking oil into the spark plugs? Possible gaskets?

Just trying to offer help. not sure though.

Yeah the support bar is broken right next to the radiator.
I just kind of temp fixed it.. So my headlights arent pointing at the ground no more..

1998 Honda Civic DX Sedan, with a 1997 D16Y8 Engine
The sedan came stock with D16y7 But the motor was no good so we picked up a relatively cheap Y8 and its in but the car will crank and wont ever...

So, Im going to replace my D16A6 Head. With a manufactured one. This is my first time doing So.. Any tips?

Also, which book am i looking for torque(ing) the head down. im still waiting on this crx...

You just use carb cleaner to clean it right?

So my buddy's 91 crx idles at 400, Which i think is normal.. the book i have about honda's says it is anyways..
But the thing that is weird is that when we were sitting in the drive way.. It dropped...

I managed to find a guy on craigslist who is junking out 2 Crx and he is letting me grab parts off it before he take ems to the junkyard, So no modification needed.

Okay, so i have a D16A6 Block.. but im to cheap to take it to re-set the valve seats, Could i use a D16Y7 Head for it?

When my civic wouldnt start my first thought was the starter but tested it at Oreily's then autozone and it said it was fine. What i recommend is taking it out of your car and taking it in.. its wayy...

I mean does it slug, just clicks? i mean the sound helps quit a bit.
