Is it grinding or is the shifter hard to get into gear. Either your cables are binding (would be happening at any rpm though) or your syncro is shot for 2nd gear.

They don't line up. The H swap requires either removing the factory mount on the passenger side frame rail and installing an adaptor for the H swap or cutting the ends of the ears of the factory...
