Probably not the battery terminals in IMO, Sounds like a fuel issue but usually you would get a CEL, were you low on fuel by chance? If you suspect a wiring issue I would carefully inspect wiring...

The noise could be coming from your input shaft bearing.

The shifting grind could be a few things. honestly it's probably just an old tranny mang.

Is the dizzy button pointing to spark plug #1?

I'm not too familiar with DOHC but I'd say whatever the button is pointing to, make that #1 and plug and hook up the plugs accordingly.

Thanks Y'all. yeah it's pretty much constant after 50. theres also a clunking in my left tire. I'll have to get under there once the temp goes above 35 and all the snow melts. the clunk didnt start...
