Your thinking this is daddy bought? What dad on earth would buy all this for there kid? u know how stupid that sounds? stop talking like a dick
Also my dad passed away a while back so its been me and my mom... had to take over and learn how to do everything so no handouts here... FOR THOSE WHO THINK THIS WAS ALL A HAND OUT keep you comments to yourself... U don't know the stuff Ive been through and and id appreciate it if u didn't make comments like that.
Ive worked hard for 5 years building this collection. I worked and studied my *** off to become a Engineer.
So if u have negative comments keep them to yourself

I think the thieve's wet dream comment meant that a thief would be in heaven if they walked into your garage, don't think he was calling you a thief. Anyway awesome collection, you have a great garage to work in them too! Love the JDM model, on 96 spec 4x114.3s too, my favourite Integra of all time!

Relax. Quit getting all defensive. He wasn't talking about your dad, holy ****. Nobody made any hateful remarks or comments. I was wondering the same thing about what you must do for a living to afford so many R's. Most of us have trouble maintaining one or two cars. Props to you for your hard work and ambition.
Holy **** dude..... lol.... take ur exhaust pipes from a 5" to a 2.5"....Flows better...lol...
Cant ask what someone does to afford 8 R's? And other projects? Sorry if i took you down a peg from the pedestal your hoping we all put you so high up on. Your an engineer? Awesome! I hope you design complex machines that smash nano particles together in Geneva.
Jealous? Yeah... we all are... Plenty of people like me scour this forum trying to find "the one" for years and years. And may never find it. You have 8.... People want to know how. And for being under 30 with 10 cars, and a garage (that we are all wishing had a bed, bathroom, and a lift) Id never leave).... makes people want to know even more.
Hello Friend.... no hard feelings...

Re: My little Hobby/Addiction/Collection
How is saying "i need a new profession... or my dad does"not an insult to me? why would the dad part be brought in if it wasn't for the assumption its all his doing... The shop/hanger/barn or whatever u wanna call it is out at my parents acreage that i rent from my mom cuz she has no use for it.
Not trying to make people Jelouse... cuz obviously the cars "arnt the one" for many people... i take any itr that its damaged or w.e... some are pretty f*cked when i get them...Side swiped, rear ended, cancer rust where u can put your hand through the quarters ect... im sure your can do the same but if your looking for "the one" yes it takes time... This has been 4 + years of looking all over Canada EVERY DAY... its a hobbie and im looking daily or 2,3,4 times a day on all kinds of websites. Lots of the ITR's here are owned by your kids to trash them and cant afford/dont now how to fix them... WE DON'T HAVE NEARLY AND AWESOME ITR COMMUNITY AND ENTHUSIASTS LIKE TO THE SOUTH... I WISH WE DID
Alight guys ill give you the run down on how this came to be...
Had a basic 97 Integra when i was in grade 12. For all of high school i worked 32-40 hrs a week on top of playing ball and other sports tams. Saved most of it for my car. Graduated and took the year off... just did odd jobs and was buying and selling the odd car and parts on the side for extra $$. Decided to start school the following year. Wanted to focus on school so decided not to work part time somewhere... HOWEVER i continued buying, selling, and trading cars and parts. This is when the dad situation occurred out of nowhere... SO... after that the only thing i could find comfort in/ take my mind off things were the cars... (also when i found the 2001 with blown engine) I spent hours, all nighters just working on cars cuz its all i had to cope... Didn't drop out of school (luckily i had great instructors and peers to send me stuff o i wouldn't fall behind.. Fast forward 3 years of school and prob 30 cars later to last summer. over that time i found most of the ITR's (will go over how when ect as i post them) I got a summer position as a Power Engineer with Conoco Phillips Canada worrking up north on shift work doing 2 weeks on 2 weeks off rotating days and nights. Not the best work cuz im away from home half the time but it pays quite well. And since im not married and only 22 its what im going to do for the time being to get ahead in life.. Once things get serious and have a wife/family i will NOT be the dad thats always gone... So its a temp thing for now...
Most of the ITR's were purchased b4 i got my job. That being said they have ranged in cost from $1200-$5000. Most under $3500. The ITR's are rare here but for some reason everyone is quite cheap here because as a project they dont sell for nearly as much as they do int he states.. no isea y... ALSO i do ALL my own work... Ull see in the in the pix i post some of my body work methods are guetto.. but the result is right.. Example; My NKB 2001 i used my truck and a come-a-long to pull the panel out. not conventional tools lol
I DO my own, Body work, welding, Paint, engine swaps, everything to these cars myself so i keep the costs lower on the builds... i also don't have to fork over tons of $$ for parts cuz there are lots off JDM shops and lots of parts around.. *** ALSO ANOTHER REASON Y I BUY OTHER INTEGRAS AND HONDAS AS WELL. Buy a project that has been given up on for cheap and take the parts i need, then fix up and put back to stock and sell the car forn what i bought it for and get the parts i needed for free/my time and effort.
97 -$5000 (abused but full running)
98 -$2500 (clean shell but damaged)
99 -$1000 (salvage shell no engine or trans)
99 -$3200 (high miles with spray can garage paint jo9b)
00 -$1200 (shell rusted out)
01 -$2500 (salvage shell)
01 -$2500 (clean title shell)
01 -$4000 (full running but rear ended)
so just over 20k + restoring them... I KNOW FOR FACT THERE ARE TONS OF GUYS THAT HAVE MORE INTO 1 TYPE R. Ive just been patient and haggled and found good deals (plus like i said damaged ITR projects sell for much less here for some reason)
LASTLY, It helps i have space cuz when people are parting out cars i offer to take the whole thing... cuz not many people have the space in the city to have a whole car sit there for months... in the garage or driveway... plus in Calgary your not allowed to have cars like that in the drive way... cant even change your oil on your driveway... has to be int eh garage... and most people like the idea of freeing up their garage. and i got a flat bed from my dad so i can go anywhere with my truck and the trailer and pick up anthing when ever... Been on lots of long road trips
Any questions? lol

Re: My little Hobby/Addiction/Collection
Here are examples of "the ones"
2001 - salvaged write off
1999 - salvaged (front and rear frame damage)
2000 - rusted out inside of quarters are covered in rust
2001 - 1998 - T boned - frame damaged
2001 - rear ended
KEEP IN MIND up here we have 4 months of the year at best to drive these... so many are winter driven and have lots of rust... they use lots of salt on out roads to help melt snow and it kills our hondas

Re: My little Hobby/Addiction/Collection
They sell for less in Canada because Honda are notorious for rust and you guys have harsh winters over there!! Southern States in USA don't even know what snow is, let alone get your winters!! I'm from Northern Ireland, Hondas have poor resale values over here too, I worked with a guy who bought a used S2000 from England for £1200, thats like $2400 or something near! All it needed was road tax. Anyway, back on topic. Love the collection, something I have noticed on this forum is that a lot of guys are quick to 'flame' you for something, whether from jealousy or difference in opinion. Not pointing the finger at anybody here at all, but just don't rise to it if they do. Canada seems to be the land of opportunity at the minute, thousands of Irish/British are emmigrating there every year to Canada and Australia, and I can see why. I'm 24, work full-time, live with my parents, and can only afford to insure my car and fuel it and maybe afford a holiday or 2 throughout the year!! Think I want to move to your country and buy some project cars!! haha
