Re: Speedo and torque converter not working

"It's a circuit board issue in the cluster and can be intermittent"

When this is the case, can it be corrected by re-soldering the circuit board connections?

Re: 1994 Honda Accord EX CEL Code 4

Almost sounds as if you have a non-VTEC distributor installed.

Re: 2002 honda lx f23a4 supercharger questions

Just a note. Your transmission will probably not be adequate for any increase in power. It is barely adequate of the stock motor. Of course, you could get lucky.

Re: 1995 Honda Accord EX - Wilwoods

I have found that NSX calipers and 300mm rotors are a good combination. No brake fade with them. But I do use 17" wheels.

Re: Loosing coolant

When the thermostat fails, it is supposed to fail in the open position. But they are not expensive and if it has never been replaced it could be a starting point/

Re: Transmission woes

I seem to remember that there was a "fix" for these transmissions if you were having them rebuilt. A filter, maybe?

Re: CD5 Brake Rotors/Kits

This is something that I wrote up some years ago to remind me of what I did to get to my current brake conversion. It may be of value to you or not. I ended up with 300mm rotors on the front and...

Re: 97 Accord radiator concern

I have a temp gauge to measure the trans fluid temperature. It seems that the more shifting the trans does, the more it heats up. Around town in heavy traffic is bad, but the mountains are worse.. ...

Re: 97 Accord radiator concern

A word on transmission coolers. I have used a number over the years, all Hayden ones. I have used this:...

Re: 2002 Accord Resto-mod engine and transmission compatability

But is it better to pay more for premium gas, or to pay more for the extra gas you will be using with a V8? But with the automatic transmission in a 2002, additional power is out of the question. ...

Re: Trunk leak

Actually I replaced them with custom tail lights. I found the leak when I was doing this. It seems that just using some gasket sealer around the housing and gasket would work. If that's really...

Re: Trunk leak

I had a similar problem once. Turned out to be the seal around the tail lights. 94 Accord EX.

Re: 1995 Accord Radiator fan starts up after shutting off engine

From an old thread:

"at least 90-02 4 cylinder Accords have two fan switches. So it is normal for the fan to run even after the car is turned off. As long as your temp gauge is good and you're not...

Re: 1990 Honda Accord overheating can't figure out why

Just a thought. You car was built before the switch to R124a refrigerant. It originally used the R12. I converted a car once and never got it to cool properly. That could possibly have something...

Re: Puncture right on the edge of sidewall

It the hole is not round then it is much harder to seal. You could remove the tire and put a flat patch on the inside? But if a new tire is on the way that would sort of be a waste. I wouldn't...

Re: Valve cover, liquid gasket (RTV sealant)

Permatex RTV should be available from any parts store. I got some from Advance the other day.

Re: F23a1 cam in a F22b1 head???

I still have the cam but I don't nave a way to measure it except a micrometer to measure the lobes. But that would say nothing about the cam profile. I bought an adapter to use the 2-wire IACV, but...

Re: F23a1 cam in a F22b1 head???

I pulled a complete F23A head and intake from a pick-and-pull but I have never used it. It just seemed like too little gain for the effort involved. But the head and valves were in such good shape...

Re: 98 Honda Accord Coupe Question

Re: 1994 Accord Wagon Build

Speaking from experience, I ended up with my setup step-by-step. And each step cost me money. Then I had to sell of the things I bought and buy more. First my 16" rims, then my 17"rims the were not...

Re: 1994 Accord Wagon Build

In my case I wanted to increase the size of the rotors, tires, and rims, so it made sense to go to 5 lugs. That way I could use the rotors off other Honda cars that were 5 lugs. Also, finding 17x8...

Re: 1994 Accord Wagon Build

Another note on the front brakes. I wanted something more than stock and ended up with 300mm rotors. The Accord caliper is good, and I am not sure what I did made it any better, but maybe it helped....

Re: 1994 Accord Wagon Build

One thing to note. The sedan rear caliper came with a 34mm piston. The wagon had a 38mm piston. When I upgraded my front brakes I wanted a little more braking force on the rear so I changed...
