Re: WTB: '96-'00 EK Civic emblems

Sounds good - let me know when they're off, and we can talk then.

WTB: '96-'00 EK Civic emblems

I know you have them, and they're doing you no good sitting in a drawer or tacked to your wall. And you know what? I don't even care if the chrome paint on them is jacked.

Because I'm one of...

Re: ** The offical 96-00 civic 4dr thread ** PART 2

Not much to look at, for the moment. Plus, it's a non-Honda.

Should be firing up the engine this coming weekend, but it's a significantly lightened and simplified '92 Miata that we're building...

Re: ** The offical 96-00 civic 4dr thread ** PART 2

Finally took some quick pics of my '97 EK sedan. It's mostly been seeing some maintenance work, suspension bushings, and some mild bolt-ons. The wheels are 16x7" Enkei RPF1 wheels with a 42 offset...

Re: volk se37k +38

It's not lowered (yet), but my '97 EK sedan is running 16x7 Enkei RPF1s with a 42 offset (and 205/45-16 tires). At stock height, they're just about flush with the fender edges. Not sure if that helps...

Re: tire ?

What's your wheel width? That'll make a difference in tires, too. Gotta find out what that is before you can start determining tire size.

FWIW, my EK sedan is on 205/45-16 tires with 16x7 Enkei...

Re: 185/65r14 on 14x5.5 work? Ugly? Tips?

A 185 should be fine on those - not sure what the stock steel wheel width is on Hondas, but the EK comes with a 185/65-14. FWIW, the early Miata wheels are 5.5", and are factory spec'd at 185/60-14....

Re: Lug Nuts Stuck

Take it back to the dealer, and make them remove the lugs, then hand-torque them to the proper limit (like they should have in the first place). Some guy with the gun just air-ratched them down...

Re: offset help 15x8

Not sure how much different the EG is from the EK, but I just put 16x7 wheels with a 42 offset and 205/45-16 Khumos on my stock suspension-equipped '97. They fit pretty nicely, and are just about...

Re: *** Official What You did to your eg/ek today ***

My EK got some love this weekend - installed my new Magnaflow stainless cat-back, put in the trailer hitch (still need to do the wiring for the lights), and finally got around to painting my wiper...

Re: looking for a highflow quiet exhaust...help?

Just to add - I have a stock D16Y7 in my '97 LX, and just installed a Magnaflow cat-back (with 2.25" tubing) with the resonator and muffler.

My initial thoughts is that it's not much louder than...

Re: How difficult is engine work on a '06+ Civic?

Good to know - thanks! I haven't poked around the engine compartment much, but figured that I'd have to start doing more than oil changes and general maintenance in the coming years. I'm coming off...

How difficult is engine work on a '06+ Civic?

My wife and I are going to be adding a '09 Civic EX to the stable. It's a great little car, but I popped the hood, and noticed that the base of the windshield is basically sitting on top of the valve...

Re: WTT: My gold EK emblems for your chrome ones (MD)

The weather's getting nicer, and it'll soon be time for me to start doing the spring detailing on my EK.

So if anyone's interested, let me know. Otherwise, I'll probably paint over these golden...

Re: Humming Noise

Is it a constant, low humming that gets louder with speed? If so, you have a bad wheel bearing.

Re: where is my brake fluid going??

If it's not leaking at the brake lines, take a peek under the dash where the brake pedal goes through the firewall to the brake master cylinder. If it's nowhere else on the car, it's probably a bad...

'97 Civic windshield washer not spraying

Why is my windshield dirty? Because when I pull the wiper stalk on the steering column, the washer pump doesn't go on. Additionally, the wipers won't work then, either. However, the wipers DO work as...

Re: 4-Point Harness in del Sol

Came across a good article recently that talks all about this kind of thing. And it's written by people who know what they're talking about:

Everything you wanted to know about proper harness...

Re: LS VTEC losing coolant

Wow - that's a lot. If you were losing that much through a bad head gasket, you'd have some serious issues (or at least see it in the oil and exhaust steam), so I'm not leaning in that direction.

Re: Civic clutch problem

When you replaced the m/c & slave, and put new fluid in, did you bleed all the air out of the line? Sounds like there's still some in there.

Re: 4-Point Harness in del Sol

Red Army and Monkeyboy are on the money on this one. Plus, as cool as you think harnesses are on the street, they really do suck. It'll take you a few days, but you'll figure out pretty quickly that...

Re: miata seats in an eg6

I don't have an EG handy, but I happen to have a Miata in my driveway with an OMP race seat. So if you need some measurements, let me know.

WTT: My gold EK emblems for your chrome ones (MD)

My '97 LX came with gold "H" emblems, front and rear.

I'm not a fan of them, but thought I'd see if anyone would be interested in trading them for a chrome set. If not, I'll just find a nice color...

Re: 1996 Civic interior water leak

Have you had the a/c on recently? If so, the drain on the box that collects condensate water might be clogged, and spilling the collected water into the footwell (especially if it's full and you're...
