Re: ITR Security

Just because someone has a flatbed doesn't mean it's connected to a business. A fake plate on campus with a plain looking flatbed is hard to identify. That's like someone won't steal the car on...

Re: ITR Security

Someone driving a flatbed could care less about a boot on the car. Just winch it on the bed and they're out.

As for security it's all been covered. Get a gps tracking alarm if the car gets...

Re: 1990 prelude tranny fit in 89?? help

If its a 5 speed then the 90/91 tranny will work in the 89, you just need to change out the clutch disc to one from the 90/91 and possibly the intermediate shaft. Also you need to keep the speed...

Re: 86-89 Accord and 88-91 Prelude Shifter

I don't know about accords but I know the 88-91 Preludes have a cable operated shifter. Any Civic I've worked on (92+) is a rod shifter. Won't work. Every once in a while you can find a modded...

Re: Trying to get my car inspected. --CEL p0141-

Man this is a popular setup, exactly like my car. My problem is the retard before me cut out the wiring for the secondary O2 sensor. I have an electric simulator for the O2 sensor so that code is...

Re: 2000 Accord Brakes warping alot

My ex had the same problem on her accord for a while (2000 lx V6). The only way it stopped was I had to replace all 4 rotors with high quality ones (I think they were legit Brembo blanks, not chinese...

Re: Poor man Type R, running extremely rich.

The P28 is probably most of your problem. You need to run a chipped ecu and get it tuned. I wouldn't drive the car until you do that, and if you have to drive it definitely don't beat on it. Drive it...

Re: B18 gsr swap mid-rpm power lag!

Isn't the p28 a d series computer? If it is that's your problem. You can't just run it stock. All the maps in it are wrong. Its programmed for a smaller SOHC motor. Get the ecu chipped then get a...

Re: Experts: What's this green/white wire for?

Sounds like an OG Mini Cooper. I've seen direct bolt in swaps for those, sounds like a fun car. Wire might be for IACV.

Re: purchased a '99 EK and have no clue where I should start with modding

I'd really consider the alarm first. Hopefully your car will be safe since you garage it, but you never know and it'a a huge risk to mod without one. Out by me half the Honda thieves target cars with...

Re: How much would you pay for this 97 Civic coupe with listed mods?

Keep in mind most places with any type of emissions inspection you will fail for an engine older than the year of the body, especially if it's an OBD2 scan and the car is wired OBD1. I'd prob offer...

Re: Motortrend first drive of 2012 civic

I agree the new SI is a letdown, but your facts are wrong. The Civic Si started in '84, had a D16 and 122 hp. Far from the 100hp/L mark.

Re: Gsr vs type r...cant make up my mind

If you're planning on spanking your buddies I'm guessing you'll prob be street racing too. Doesn't matter which you get if that's the case, it'll be stolen soon enough sad to say.

Re: B16 All Motor, Help

As far as I can tell GSR VTEC engagement is 4400 and secondaries open at 6000. As I said about my car, I no longer have secondaries. I hear and feel VTEC kick at 4400, but since I am running a stock...

Re: B16 All Motor, Help

You're saying the crossover on the gsr at 4400 is the secondaries in the intake opening not VTEC? Funny that my gsr with a Skunk2 intake (no secondaries anymore) and a stock P72 has a crossover at...

Re: Changing Trans fluid w 160k and never having service...ok? or bad?

From anything I've heard if you're only changing what is in the pan you should be ok. If you go somewhere and have a transmission flush done where they hook it to a machine and flush out all of the...

Re: 3 questions about the B18C1.

1. Agreed it's more than likely turbo dependent.

2. Already answered, yes.

3. Along with standalone/chipped ecu you really should do some headwork i.e. better valvesprings. Type-R springs...

Re: Question about the Strength of a Honda Civic Body

Keep in mind these crash tests don't mean squat with a lot of customized cars. Lots of people either butcher the hell out of themetal bumper or remove it completely to fit intercoolers or swap to JDM...

Re: Tires rubbing on plastic things in wheel well..

I wouldn't be so quick to remove them. They can help keep rocks and such that get kicked up by your tires and keep them from hitting the insides of your fenders and denting them. They are just...

Re: Question about the Strength of a Honda Civic Body

^^^^^^

Sounds like just the metal support beam. If yours is good then just look for the bumper cover. Sounds like you rear-ended a truck and it went over your bumper. The strength in the front...

As was already said, we did not put that switch in your car, none of our cars have that switch because it is not stock. How the hell are we supposed to know what it does? Follow the wires to wherever...

Re: B-Series Vtec Issue.. Need Guru level Help!!!

Depends on which code you are throwing. If you are throwing the code for the ckf then yes it will be deleted. For a temporary fix until you go OBD1 you can do this:

Re: Undo Integra Front end Conversion on 00 Civic Si

^^^+1^^^ I'm pretty sure you gotta change the radiator support. If you don't know how to weld it's going to cost you a bit to have a shop remove the integra support and install the civic support.
