It could be the alternator too. I had the same issue. It would push start and jump start fine, but the alternator wasnt charging the battery so it would never start on it's own. Put in a new battery...

3. Timing

^^^Yeah agreed. If you're running a non-vtec head with a vtec ecu it will always throw a code.

Its really weird, obviously it turns on and the off when the pump primes, and it will stay off for a while. Once the car warms up then it will randomly come back on. If I turn the car off and on...

Already got the nut off the end of the pivot bolt, just need to get the bolt out of the bracket and alternator on the bottom.

Used almost a whole can of pb blaster. Hammered on both sides of the bolt. Moved the alternator back and forth a hundred times. Still won't come out. I took one bolt out of the lower bracket thinking...

I'll try 4dregdc's idea, but unfortunately it's not in a garage or anything. It's in my driveway and I have no engine lift or anything.

Taking off the head you can definitely see it. If its an exhaust valve you might be able to see if you take off the headers.
