Re: Tire noise on 2006 Honda Civic

I guess I worded that badly. The original arms had no marks. The replacement arms used to have inked Cs and stamped Cs. The newer replacement arms seem to not have the inked Cs and just the stamped...

Re: Tire noise on 2006 Honda Civic

To clarify....

That picture is NOT the stamp. that is ink. The stamp is just that, a stamped recess in the metal in the shape of a C. The stamp is small, about the diameter of a pencil. The older...

Re: 2003 Accord Wont come out of Park.

If the button on the shifter is broken, it won't work. Remove the screws on the shifter shaft and remove the knob. Try using the shifter by pressing the plunger down with your thumb. If it works,...

Re: Remote Key Entry Not Working

Does the light on the remote work when you press a button?

Have you tried programming the remote?

Re: Nascar type restrictor plate on civic???

jesus christ :ugh:

I think you should wad up a towel and shove it in your air intake. That will restrict it.

Now get off the internet and go get a better car to haul your family in.

Re: 2005 honda odyssey power sliding door problem

Several possibilities. Most common are worn center rollers binding the door or faulty micro-switches on the latch.

Re: Does my 2006 Odyssey need a new timing belt?

Don't freak out. Yes, the RECOMMENDATION is 105k or 7 years, whichever comes first. That doesn't mean that the belt is going to come flying off at 7 years one month.

There is no warning when a...

Re: Can struts get damaged from tire exchange + alignment?

Anything is possible, but it is highly unlikely they did anything to damage the shocks doing tires and an alignment.

Older Hondas can have issues after being on a lift. The shocks (no struts on a...

Re: Straightpipe?

Don't forget to put stadium seating on the decklid, fake Buick port holes in the fenders, and lambo doors to go with that retarded exhaust setup.

Re: 2008 civic AC ACCUMULATOR/DRIER

You probably don't need one. If you have to ask where it is, you probably can't fix it either.

What sort of issue are you having?

Re: 2005 Honda Civic - Rhythmic Sound While Driving

A bad wheel bearing will normally not show up as a loose wheel unless it is extremely worn. Don't tell your mechanic to check something that you think may be causing it, just give a description of...

Re: Towing a trailer

Depends greatly on the weight of the trailer. If it is one of those open aluminum jobs, no sweat. If it is one of the heavy enclosed ones, I would be worried about mountain roads.

FWIW, I used to...

Re: Secret to compressing rear brake caliper piston?

Lots of derp in this thread. Instead of being helpful, I think I will just chastise everyone that tries do DIY their brakes without having a clue wtf is going on.

It's the most important system...

Re: '06 Accord V6 coil problems..

3 coils are not going to fail at once, that is silly. A failed coil causing others to fail is made up nonsense, also. Have you verified that the coils ae not firing by checking them out of the plug...

Re: A/C Issue

Drivers side temp motor is dead. The clicking was the motor slipping. You can remove the motor and move the arm manually to get some cold air on that side until you can replace it.

Stick your...

Re: 07 Accord - Compliance Bushings??

Oh, dear. WHY did they say you needed a control arm? I'm betting they bent yours trying to press it.

If they replaced the control arm, they shouldn't have charged you for replacing the compliance...

Re: 2007 CRV A/C problem

The clutch on the compressor is worn out. Nothing you can do but have it replaced. The coil should be replaced at the same time. The compressor itself will not need replaced.

Re: 07 Accord - Compliance Bushings??

Unfortunately, compliane bushings are a common problem and kind of a PITA to replace. You are stuck with that one. BTW, those bushings are not fluid filled, not sure what that is about.*

It's a...

Re: Annoying squeak keeps occurring every time it rains

You probably need a belt. They need changed every 100k/7 years or so because they start making noise or cracking. It is normally worse in cold or damp weather.

Make sure all of your splash guards...

Glad you are finally getting somewhere. I hope it all turns out well for you.

I'm not sure why they are not replacing the short block assembly. Honda Canada may have different criteria than USA...
