2005 Honda Civic - Rhythmic Sound While Driving
I've been experiencing a rhythmic sound while driving that seems to come from the front wheel area. Hard to tell if it's left or right. The sound is most noticeable while driving between 15-40mph. Sort of a 'wah-wah-wah-wah-wah...' type of noise.
Suspected at first a bearing might be going because I had that happen on my old 96 civic. But at my last oil change, when I specifically asked them to check for play in the wheels, they said there wasn't any.
Any thoughts? Thank you!

A bad wheel bearing will normally not show up as a loose wheel unless it is extremely worn. Don't tell your mechanic to check something that you think may be causing it, just give a description of the noise and let them find it. You either have cupped tires or a bad bearing.

Thanks for the move, Dave.
I agree DELuth. They actually drove it and heard the sound before they checked for play in the wheel. I'm a little surprised they didn't suggest what you said. Then again, it may be due to just having them look at it during an oil change, not a big service.

I get a wah wah wah sound while driving and its my drums in the back... Im due for an adjustment, last time I was lazy and now the shoes are not worn out correctly thus making that noise
also check that your wheels nuts are tight dont want to lose a wheel
