I had simular problem with a customers car, although it was a 96 civic lx, the engine was misfiring so badly it thru a knock sensor code, fixing the problem I changed the fuel filter,distributor cap...

vtec or non vtec engine? we need some more info from you to help you, fuel pressure is the biggest thing, you can rent a gauge from any auto zone next is the ignition system, next is the map sensor,...

treat it like you do any other painted part start out with 400 grit, then go to 600 grit wet, then to 800 grit, 1000 grit wet, once you get to that point 3M makes two compounds to bring the shine up....

becarefull spraying wax and grease remover on cheaper primer, it will make it bubble up and peal off. anyone that doesn't believe me I can post a video of how quick this takes place..

if 3/4 of a tank of gas disappeared your friend has a serious leak! i parked a old car for 4 years with a 1/2 a tank and it was still there when it came time for me to tear it down for parts.

yea vtec works off of oil pressure but that leak wouldn't stop it from engaging, you have another problem causing that light to come on

what kind of maint. have you done to the car if any? auto, 5 spd? have you modified anything? tell us more about the car. basically you turn the key and nothing happens?

any h22 has more bottom end torque than any stock b series ever thought about having. I've heard it called the big block of all dohc vtec 4 cyl engines<--- honda tuning.

well first if your using a jdm engine, the harness on that engine won't work so i hope you used the harness that came with the car. you can use your (dizzy) off the usdm engine.

10K? mine redlines at 7600 what kinda lude you got dude only the B series (8k and 8.5k) and f20 in the s2k revs 9k

because honda came out with a the accord coupe with a V6 and then a 6 spd trans. not to mention every one wanted a s2k. it was more power and had a drop top.

ok ya'll easiest way to check fuel pressure is at the rail. Loosen the nut on the fuel line going to the fuel rail it's a 12mm nut. release the pressure and then retighten and try to restart the car...
