It's not normal.

Sounds like a loose connection in the dash. Is it just those two lights, or others as well?

Thanks for the info Ron.

A friend suggested that I increase the RPM to 3000 RPM.

idle: 20 psi low/ 170 psi high
3000 rpm: 12 psi low/ 270 psi high

Incidentally, the vent temp dropped...

I realized that I never stated the resolution.

Short answer was that the oil screen was plugged. I cleaned it and went ahead and replaced the timing belt, etc. While there I checked the oil pump....

The immediate stall after start was due to a problem with the main relay. The fuel pump now primes and I can hear the clicks. I also cleaned out both the IACV and the FITV (did not remove manifold...
