Re: 1993 Honda Accord - O2 Sensor continually fails

The good answers I see above are:

(1) engine is burning oil and bad cylinder will show blackened exhaust port inside header, or:
(2) engine is leaking oil onto O2 sensor in front of cat via valve...

Re: Wheel hub dented, can't figure out why

Not to quibble, but I'm pretty sure this model is like the 1991 with the hub-over-rotor design; in that the hub assembly bolts up into the knuckle, adjacent to the balljoint as in the drawing below....

Re: Wheel hub dented, can't figure out why

Balljoint. Somebody tried pounding out the lower balljoint without first loosening the four hub bolts and bumping out the hub a bit.

I've seen balljoints with a cutout on the lip for clearance...

Re: 91 Honda Accord won't start

Well, you say you're getting spark, but I'm dubious. Most no-start issues in my experience are ignition-related. Unless your t-belt is busted (in which case the cranking would sound weird - really...

Re: Removing wiper cowl?

Thanks for posting the picture and instructions for removing the cowl. It kept me from breaking [even more] connectors. :)

Re: 93 accord can smell gas inside

I'm betting on a rusted fuel line connection, like where the lines run above the rear driver-side wheel. Fumes will work their way into the cabin - especially if you drive with the window open.

Re: Cant get a 93 Accord to turn over.

Dude, you say it cranks AND does not turn over. Do you mean the starter engages and is turning something but the engine just doesn't start? If that's the case, maybe the timing belt snapped. If so,...

Re: 1993 Honda Accord - O2 Sensor continually fails

If the sensor comes out all black, it probably is bad, but maybe next time you get the coes and it stars running bad, try a reset (disconnect battery for a minute) and see if the condition persists...

Re: need help please

Dude,
When you post, you're likely to get more attention if you put your accord year and problem in the title.
Tx!

Re: Need quick Answer

CA RS,
Your post title gives absolutely no indication of your question. Some members scroll the new posts for topics they can help with. I rarely open a thread like "I have a question" unless I have...

Re: Power Steering Noise and foaming fluid

There are instructions somewhere posted on replacing the shaft seal on PS pumps; they suck in air (esp in cold when fluid is thicker) and cause foaming. Also check the two clamps on the suction hose...

Re: 92' Accord 2.2L Rough Running Idle in Gear

Agreed. The rear mount looks like a bear to change (I bought one 2 years ago and still haven't gotten around to putting it in). You could check the side mounts; the front mount (aka torque rod) is...

Re: 90 accord tranny/clutch not grabbing

I read somewhere else that you can disconnect the battery for a minute to reset the TCU (if it's having trouble) and then maybe the trans will let you move along in a limp mode. But Im not sure. Sure...

Re: Fixing my fuel leak

Get a foot of new steel line, cut out the rusted section, make some flare joints and voila - if you don't mind gas all over your face while you're flat on your back under the car. If you don't,...

Re: spark plug non-foulers...WTF?

Whoa!
Are you rational thinkers saying there are o-rings under the camholder[s] in addition to those on the valve cover? No wonder changing the ones on the cover never does anything for me! Anyone...

Re: 90 accord won't start when cold

If there's not cold crank, it does sound like the starter. You can buy replacement contacts for the starter for a few dollars (dealer, driveline, and maybe partstrain) and that will probably get you...

91 Accord can't find exhaust leak

Hi,
My 1991 Accord SE gets an exhaust smell in the cabin when not moving and the fresh air button and fan are on. It seems the fresh air intake is sucking in exhaust fumes when the car isn't moving...

Well, gasoline is dangerous! I had a mechanic do mine.

Re: Possible reasons why the cabin smells like gasoline

Or a rusty fuel line leak in the rear somewhere coming out of the tank and heading towards the front of the car, like in the area under the filler neck. I had one of those (fixed with 6" of new line...

Re: 95 accord trunk leaks like a sieve.

The earlier generation has leaks coming from dried taillight gaskets and from dried vent gaskets - the vent on that car is near the antenna, but lower so that it discharges inside the bumper. You...
