Re: Vtec not engaging???

How do you "know" your oil pressure is fine? W/o a gauge then trust the dummy light, especially if you have another symptom related to low oil pressure. I'd highly recommend you at pull your oil pan...

Re: Injectors 800cc, New Bosch EV14 - CHEAP

An ID1000 will flow ~900cc in an ASNU bench, these flow 800cc. So they're only 12% smaller than ID1000's. ID uses Bosch EV14 cores, these are Bosch EV14's also (just longer). It's like a b16 head vs...

Icon5 Injectors 800cc, New Bosch EV14 - CHEAP

I have a set of 800cc I got from an online vendor. They're almost the same type as ID1000 injectors, except they fit Honda rails like stock. They were matched to 1% like FIC & Injector Dynamics do to...

Re: Blox manifold & precision E cover??

One thing people have done is use longer studs (or bolts) in the head and sandwich a bare flange between the head and manifold. Basically it spaces it out 3/8-1/2" inch.

Icon5 Cheap ID1000's - tophats?

Found some cheap ID1000's, but they don't come with the fuel rail adapters aka tophats nor the clips. Will the RDX adapters work? ID charges too much for them seperate.

Icon3 Re: B20V cracked sleeve in all cylinders

I was looking stuff up and found this thread, just thought I'd add something.

For <1000 miles, there looks to be a LOT of oil discoloration. You can see on the top section of the sleeves where...

Re: 800cc Bosch EV14 Injectors

These were balanced to 1% like ID1000's are.

re: ***The Official JRSC Thread

First start-up should be done with the SAME injectors as it ran with previously. It will eliminate a lot of headaches. You can swap injectors once you have it running right and are ready to tune.

Re: 100% stock b16 with bolt ons 192whp 115tq

Or 2.5 yrs ago someone could have rebuilt it with B16B pistons...

There's lots of factors that can fudge numbers. For all we know the SAE correction factor was ways away from 1 because the dyno...

Re: D15b7 boost till swap

With no tune, not even a missing link and FMU, it will last half a pull.

A few guesses with crome (non-pro) and a wideband and you could probably do a few PSI using a saab/volvo/dsm junkyard turbo...

Re: cruise control high/low maps

If they are the buttons on the wheel, they won't work w/o extra hardware. They are momentary, meaning on only when pressed. You'd be on the high octane map only while you hold it down.

You need a...

Re: Brand New Motor Gone

It sucks that your motor is shot, but don't trash a shop unless you have proof they screwed up. If you bought an untested rad and didn't have the right parts (huge turbo for a tiny WG, etc), don't...

Re: Turbo choices!! I'm going nuts!!!

Sorry to say but without a magic wand, spool and 400whp d16 shouldn't be used in the same sentance. A guy I know went from low 300's with a gt28rs to low 400's with a gt35r on a sohc, gained less...

Re: My B16T setup :)

For 300whp stock b16 cams will be more than enough, even for that smaller turbo. People have done 400whp with bone-stock b18c1's on pump gas. You can keep them for the time being, but I'd suggest...

Re: D15B turbo Build

Most bisimoto turbo cams suck fyi. I think it's the 3.6 that is the only decent performer vs the tried & true 59300 zex/comp. At least for the price.

Re: Counterfeit Hondata S300 and K-Pro fyi.

I think their products are incredibly overpriced. I can't help but compare them to PC motherboards. They have 20x the components and are retired every 18 months. For the cost Hondata is about as...

Re: no power to ecu

Sounds like you have another blown fuse or melted wire. When you blow an 80 amp fuse, that means a heavy wire did something unusual. FYI a dead main relay or ECU (with good fuses/wires) will still...

Re: 95' Civic Hatch B16A Idles very High

If it drops to 1k with a hair of throttle, adjust the TPS to be a bit higher at idle - say 0.55v. Whatever works in your case. It almost sounds like the TPS wires are reversed, but multimeters don't...

Re: Map sensor question

Sounds like a bad IACV, or since it's a PR-4 ecu - incompatable IACV. If you unplug it or plug the hole, it should immediately drop to 400-500 rpm with no flucuation. The 92-93 tegs use the obd-1...

Re: B18c1 rebuild still smoking- looking for insight

Wow $600? That's the price of a basic garret, or the CHRA of a smaller GT-series turbo.

Honestly it sounds more like the valve seals. A blown turbo will not pressurize your crank case. Bad seals...

Re: Sleeved block stamped?

Only way to not get scammed is to pop off the head (oil pan if you have awsome eyes) or put it in writing. Take pics of the serial number or VIN, have a notary public notarize the documents, then pay...

Re: E-brake light stays on..

The ONLY way that light lights up if the input wire on the cluster's connector is grounded. Something is grounding it. The only other explaination is it's a message from God to slow down.

That...
