Re: Tire talk for autox/track days

-xotic, nice man! Except the hg issues. I'm sure the 50 shot will be fine with a good tune though. I appreciate your feedback.

-xian, thanks for sharing. Tires are def first on my list....

Re: Tire talk for autox/track days

To be clear, it's not terrible. I notice it at higher speeds. But honestly, it's probably driver error, just not cooking the brakes enough before turn in. I feel the push when I go in too hot. My car...

Re: Tire talk for autox/track days

I really appreciate the details, gents. A little off track here, but did you feel the car handled better without the front sway? I have ST bars front and rear. It seems no matter how I adjust the...

Re: Tire talk for autox/track days

Awesome, man! Thank you. That's what I want. 225/45 street tire. 15x9 +36. Was the spacer necessary to clear the uca and/or knuckle?

Re: Tire talk for autox/track days

Xian, I'm curious about your EF staggered setup. I have a 90 CRX. I really need to maximize traction up front. Did you have to do a lot of rolling/pulling fenders for the 15x9s? Do you recall the...

re: 92 civic HB with built GSR - HESITATION WHEN I SHIFT

You might try TPS settings. Make it think 75% throttle is 100%. Unless the car has run great before on the current tune and this problem is new.

Re: 91 LX Sedan build

I've only read good things on XTD/XTR stage 3 clutches. The stage 1 and 2 like to blow apart from what I've seen. I'd return the stage 2 and get a stage 3 instead. Engagement will be crap, but the...

Re: Lucas Trans fix

Lucas will only transform all internal trans seals to jelly! Nobody ever use it in any transmission! If you do, you will most definitely need a complete rebuild after. It will only be a matter of...

re: 97 civic sits lower on back left corner after installing koni yellows

It's usually the norm on our cars when adjusting coilovers to have the left rear adjusted higher than the rest, to get a symmetrical look at all fender gaps. Think it has to do with motor being on...

re: hydroplaned into a curb - tie rod ends or trailing arm?

Third. And sorry for freaking you out, op. Lol, but I've seen it happen before. Drift sucks!

Re: Horrible knock after clutch change 98 civic

Sucks having to snatch that trans over and over again for some crap made parts! I've even seen parts stores flywheels machined with the center hole offset, causing the flywheel beat down everything...

re: hydroplaned into a curb - tie rod ends or trailing arm?

Might have crumpled the unibody in where the LCA bolts up. Hope not, because that would probably mean you totaled your car.

Re: 95 civic swap b16, wheels will not move

If the brakes are locking down, then as suggested you should have taken the brake light "fix" outta there first. Let the brake lights stay on while you drive the car long enough to see if the brakes...

Re: Help - Brakes won't hold pressure?

No. Leaving the hose off would cause the pedal to be tough to push down as it would no longer have vacuum assist. Start with bleeding the brakes. Typically, a bad master will feel normal until you...

Re: 91 Crx loud squeling noise?!

Posting a vid with the problem noise would help. A bad bearing typically makes noise all the time. A loose belt can make noise sometimes but not all the time.

Re: 93 Civic - Shaking and Tach jumps at 1000 RPM

1st vid could indicate bad/worn mounts.

2nd vid just looks like the transmission performing coasting downshifts, which is normal.

Re: obd2 power boost on a budget?

Lol, save your money man. The "mods" you speak of are pointless. I mean, IMHO they are. If you must spend the $500, buy good tires. Hit corners a bit faster and it'll feel like you gained 50whp. :)

Re: Grinding noise when clutch is released

Basically, the trans needs a bearing and seal kit rebuild or swapped out, as stated already.

Re: 2000 Civic EX Coupe Bad Clutch?

The description kinda sucks lol. Op, a slipping clutch will usually always slip under load like in 5th gear at 40-45 mph if you roll into the throttle hard and see the rpms shoot up but the car...
