Just be wary of 1) buying a vehicle is questionable driving condition and 2) trusting the seller to his word... It sounds to me that the guy is selling a tired car so, Make sure you have a plan B...

Yea, it weirded me out for a while too (the high rpm thing). I rev to around 4k RPM at 70mph in 5th.

As for the idle, it could be a multitude of problems ranging from air bubbles in the coolant...

While I agree with most everything you said, I still suggest checking the ELD circuit for the following reasons...

The reason it could be working "too well" is simply because the current reading...

Make sure ecu is fully getting chassis grounded (its mounted and not floating around the floorboard). Check the grounds to the ecu. Make sure your TPS 0 volt and 5 volt lines are clean of noise and...

Good job man. Personally, I would just jumper it out and not worry about it (note, your cruise control won't kick off anymore with clutch press, and the car would start without the clutch pressed...

You should be fine (as most have already said). If you are truly concerned, just make sure that she warms up the engine before driving.

In this image below, which version steering rack do you have? Do you have the front steering rack, or the rear steering rack version?

The front version is shown...

That is odd. Sounds like the previous owner did a tuck of some form. My power steering reservoir is right next to the power steering pump (next to the belts behind the driver-side headlight). ...

Rack with hydraulically controlled pinion more than likely. Definitely check fluid level.
