CB750 Valve timing

I have been trying to sort out running problems on my 1981 CB750CB It was running badly spitting with odd backfire.It was also breaking down with wet plugs,The carbs on the bike were VB52C jetted P68...

correction Wit Dots lined up with Cyl Head surface the Timing mark is at F not T

CB750 DOHC

My 1981 CB750 DOHC is running with the No.Cyl much cooler than others.New plug fitted Carbs Cleaned and balanced. There is a good spark with the plug removed and earthed.Any suggestions re checks...
