Dealers are a pain with stuff like this. Always saying, "we have to create the noise or issue." I think they are trained to use selective hearing. :thud:

I want to say the exhaust pipe is bigger on the Si as well. Are you swapping yours out?

Yeah, I was really meaning on smooth road. I evaded potholes and bad roads like the plaque. Now I just have to replace the rotor and brake pads. Sucks because I only had them done a few months ago. ...

Actually, I beg to differ on that comment. Not talking about the difference between SRI and CAI. There are companies putting a lot of money into R&D and you see the results.

Take AEM for example....

Their claim has to be BS. I ran the Injen CAI on my '06 Si and loved the extra bit of power. Maybe they are leaving out that you need exhaust and Hondata reflash at least to get to 17hp. :P

Go with something that you find and verify the sound. I would also ask if you were revving the engine higher and is why you got pulled over.

I had actually purchased a header/exhaust system off...

Yeah. I just found the OEM Service manual, which is what I was really wanting. There is a lot more installation information there than in the Haynes book.

I was just looking at this the other day. I have the same engine. I am still looking for the requirements as well.

There were a couple sellers on eBay that sold step by step Honda engine building...

Same here. I raced 06 Si (K20z3) against a few modded civics/integras and was very impressed with the car just stock. I was beaten by one, but only when he hit 3rd gear and the difference wasn't...
