Re: Tachometer problems - Doesn't function

Glad you got your Tach issue worked out. I had a Issue similar to yours last year, Tach needle would just jump all over the place..sometimes slow, sometimes fast. I tried 2 different Clusters and it...

Reviews on Entourage CIS GPS Tracker

I have been looking into the Escort Entourage CIS GPS Tracking Device for awhile. Seems there are alot of "older" reviews out there that discuss poor satellite reception and how the system will go...

Re: Idle Wandering

Sounds like your IACV(Idle Air Control Valve) to me since it is surging in that RPM range after the engine is warmed up. I have a link below that will show you how to clean it. Its easy to do.

Re: 95 Civic A/C Problem

If everything else in the system is in working order(IE:Compressor, Expansion Valve, etc). And you have the correct amount of Refrigerant in the system, but haven't pulled the Vacuum, then that is...

Re: 95 Civic A/C Problem

Pull a deep vacuum like Ron said. Until you do this don't complain about having an A/C system that doesn't blow cold air. Pulling a deep vacuum as already mentioned is VITAL, without a deep vacuum...

Re: b16 jerks while just cruising

I had this issue with my LS when I first swapped it in. It drove me insane for a while before I finally read about adjusting the TPS. I adjusted it to spec and I've never had an issue since.

I'm...

Re: Are all 92-95 a/c compressors the same?

Glad you figured it out. R134A and R12 A/C lines are not interchangeable. The Compressors are the same on the inside and how they function. IE: Any 92-95 Compressor will compress both R12 and...

Re: basic all motor ls going into a very light car

Damn! Sick car man. Makes me want to pull my LS out of my coupe and get my hands on a B20. Keep it up!

Re: Another Security Feature to Think About

I'm with you. I would want to do the same. I think this concept is very cool. Just got to keep power to it so it doesn't have to be charged.

Re: I/H/E combo for b16a2?

X2!

I have an LS in my EJ1 and I'd take it any day over a gutless B16A even though I don't have VTEC. I really liked my old buddies B20 he had in his 5th gen Hatch. That was fun.

Re: ac problems in 94 dx

This is what I believed as well.

OP, how hot is it right now where you live? If its 80 to 85 degrees then that amount of Refrigerant may be ok..but you will find out once it gets hotter and...

Re: I want a tachometer!

Just do what 94EG8 said and you will be fine. I have done it quite a few times on cluster swaps. There's really nothing to it at all. You would be more likely IMO to crack the dash bezel getting...

Re: loose shifter

The shaft that comes out of the tranny, where the Linkage slides on. Do you have a bolt slid through that with a nut on the other side? If so this will cause the shifter to be loose and flop around...

Re: any ideas for engine swap for a 95 hatchback si

First thing that should be on your list regardless if your going to mod the car or keep it stock is a good "Stealth" installed alarm system.

And you can make that D16Z6 fast....with Boost. ...

Re: ac problems in 94 dx

I don't know that 28InHg is the "Magic Number", I have always been able to get a Vacuum using my Vacuum pump to atleast 28InHg if not a bit better. Just think of 29.92InHg as perfect Vacuum..so your...

Re: How much does an a/c go for?

In all honesty I would just keep it in. Even though you don't use it. Your really not going to make enough money off of the system IMO to worry about taking it out and selling the parts. And if...

Re: ac problems in 94 dx

I have no clue, I have a friend that works at Honda so when I need Refrigerant recovered before I do A/C work I can take it him for that.

Correct, Just don't install it until everything else...

Re: ac problems in 94 dx

There is a lot of things wrong with what you did. Going about it that way will never give you desired results which is cold A/C.

Like Ron said, you need to have the Refrigerant recovered. There...

Re: How much does an a/c go for?

My Civic is a 93 so it had the R12 setup. Instead of retrofitting it to R-134a I found a complete A/C system out of a 95 that had been hit in the side. I got the whole setup for $75 IIRC.

I...

Re: time for a new radiator?

I'll comment on this radiator thing, only from my own personal experiences though.

As its already been said, your current radiator is toast. I have friends and other Family members with Civic...

Re: One foglight dimmer than the other..pulling my hair out.

Seems you are right, after driving tonight..no light was on the ground. However the company apparently had one going one way..and the other the other way as you can see. I never messed with them...

Re: LS or B20??

I'd go B20 and hope they stand behind that warranty if anything goes wrong. I'd be sure to throw a new Timing Belt/Waterpump on either one you buy.

Re: One foglight dimmer than the other..pulling my hair out.

UPDATE:

After work today I took another look at the foglights. I decided to just take the lens off the housing so I could see the bulb from the front to see if it was or wasn't seated correctly. ...

Re: One foglight dimmer than the other..pulling my hair out.

Patrick, I checked that yesterday because I was having issues with the driver side one seating correctly. I thought I finally got it right but I will put my next step as going back and re-checking...
