Mysterious Problem - need help

Have a 1995 Accord EX, 4cyld VTEC. Car started dying while driving. Replaced the main relay and fuel pump. Had previously replaced the electical part of ignition switch.

Need some throuble shooting advice. I sold my buddy my 95 EX w/VTEC engine a few months ago for his daughter. Never had an issue with the vehicle other than the ignition switch shorting...

I thought the same. checked the main ground and the wires going to the distributor when i got to work. guess i need to get the wiring diagram and start tracing grounds for the distibutor and ignition.

Driving away this morning I had a problem. here were the symptoms as they occurred:

loss of power - engine sputtering.
tach/speedo bouncing from 0 to appropriate level then dead
dash lights...

I will try an scan in the bulletin from Honda by this weekend as it has very precise instructions with diagrams. send me an email address so I can gwet them to you. Worse case it will be early next...

the two 10mm nuts on the accumulator have a torque spec but the retorque refers to six specific plugs on the bottom and side of the unit. I think they are for some internal valves/solenoids or...

1-8 code is guaranteed to be fixed by the accumulator o-ring, i did motor o-ring and retorque just because I had it out of the car. Bled it and the light has not come on since.

I had the exact same problem on my 95. fresh oil running down the transmission. It was the VTEC or spool valve. remove the three bolts and replace the seals...its an easy, cheap fix. If it was dirty...

do a search under spool valve or VTEC solenoid and you will find some very good instructions with pics. There are two gaskets that need replacing...very easy job.
