Re: How to remove '1' cylinder Head bolt head by drilling?

Your going about the drilling the wrong way. (you can tell from the small chips)

Go and buy 5 drills. Start at say 4-5mm and work up in 2mm steps.

Use a battery drill, in gear one. Go as slow...

If you have creep that bad i'd personally say you need to go up in gate size or add another. The manifold isn't helping. It might account for a few psi. But not 32.

I still think the tune is also...

Re: Rich777's B16 engine build

Just seen this,

Real shame Rich.

Was the clutch pedal properly adjusted? It looks like it might have had a little pressure on there, or might have been "over extending"

Other than that the...

Re: CK gas saver cups?

No, I thought exactly the same as you. Gas saver is ironic because they use a tonne of gas. They don't shield as good as a normal lens either.

Re: PRL Motorsports CNC and fab thread

Some nice machine work. What was the time on the end tanks? Must have been pretty long. 3d Work takes me/my machine ages.

Re: no lift shift...

More importantly, are you worried about NLS without having the car properly tuned?

Re: Edelbrock 4730 Camshaft Dyno Comparison -- Making Power

To me it just looks like there is a shift in pickup/rpm. This wouldn't effect peak power but it'd explain the bigger gains during spool etc.

Re: Civic twin engine

Yes it is, any more complicated arguments couldn't apply unless something was wrong with one of the engines.

Re: AWD EJ2 Build

Hi Chris, I did similar when looking at diffusers. Obviously the more "spread" you get the less angle you require. What CAD software are you using?

Re: vtec to vva. interesting concept

Terrible workmanship for the type of components. Good idea, (although not really his)

I'm not sure if he actually got it working or not? Cool if he did, although doubt how long it'd run for with...

Re: Spot Weld Cutter / Drill Suggestions

The endmill type work best/quickest for me, just use the drills torque settings. As you get through the first sheet it'll make the drills stop as it "grabs". No holes to fill in then.

Re: compound boost CTSV build.

Have you got a pump on the oil return? I think that might give you some hassle.

Also what happened to the lambo build?

Where did you get the flex belows from?

All looks very nice, excellent fit-up and symmetry on the X pipes.

Re: chem sharp

Re: Pirate's random CNC, carbon fiber and electronics fab thread.

Hello,

I tested with an amp meter and charge currents were VERY high if the car had stood for a couple of days/weeks previously. A battery isolator might help with this. My charge currents were...

Re: Pirate's random CNC, carbon fiber and electronics fab thread.

Very true, but using just 16 cells the max recommend charge current is well under what the Honda alt will output. If your using 2.3ah cells 1c is the recommend charge rate with 3c's been the very...
