Re: can anybody help me identify this wire???? (ryc555)

Well.... the Helms manual has a red/blk wire going into terminal four of the 8P heater control panel connector and labels it "Combination Light Switch" - so this makes sense. since it looks like it's...

Re: Mysterious rattle. unsolvable?? (redhotek)

First of all, sorry - cr*p like that is VERY hard to pin down. Realistically, it could be almost anything - my guess is that those conditions hit the resonant frequency of SOMETHING plastic in the...

Re: One taillight really bright? (StockDC2)

Yeah. I agree. Assuming that you didn't change one bulb, I'd guess that one is about to poof on you.

If you changed one bulb, then it's more likely that you just got a "high intensity" (not HID,...

Re: can anybody help me identify this wire???? (ryc555)

Would help if I knew where I was looking.... in the dash (radio area)?

Also, what model?

Re: (bLu92bUbbLe)

Well, the electrical noise might be from the plug losing electrical contact with the wire. Other than that, I agree with what's already been said - sounds like you're going to need new seals....

Re: (JDMASTER EJ8)

uhhhh... well, if you've changed the angle when you lowered the car (which presumably you did, unless you lowered the back the same amount), then that actually makes sense you can't adjust them up...

Barring that, I'd recommend your local public library.

And check the FAQ - there's restrictions on listing links to manuals on these forums.

Re: (Decaf)

Decaf - Ok, I'm kinda thinking out loud here, but bear with me and more importantly, let me know if I assume anything not true.

First of all, you said the blinkers work correctly (in "normal".)...

Re: 92 Civic turn signals not working...but hazards are!!?? (Cypher0117)

OK. So I would agree - it's worth looking for a short/disconnect.

First of all, I'd disconnect the battery (safety with the SRS).

Now, it looks like if you take the panel cover off below the...

Re: 92 Civic turn signals not working...but hazards are!!?? (jdmeg6hatchy)

That's what I was afraid of.

The switch is basically the base of the turn signal "stalk", and like all mechanical parts, eventually wears out.

Does your car have a driver's side airbag? I don't...

Re: 92 Civic turn signals not working...but hazards are!!?? (jdmeg6hatchy)

Well, top of my head, the turn switch in the column might be bad, since that's the major component that the two don't have in common. PITA to get to, of course. Does it feel ok mechanically?

I...

Re: carpet / tracking device (addiction2bass)

Yeah, could work....Honestly, I wonder if they would really care unless you were to either abandon the car or get towed/jacked...

But that's the reality of the situation.

Re: (^XpLiCiTxX^)

Well, for my 97 LX, Honda calls them Bolt, Wheel - either P/N 90113-SA0-025 or 90113-SM1-005 - cost 3.39 and 1.11 respectively. Item 23 in this picture.

Re: door stuck shut need helppppp!!! (NOFX)

Didn't know that....but doesn't surprise me.

Now that I'm considering it, odds are pretty good that you'd need a locksmith bond or a towing certificate, or equivalent.

Anyway, we've completely...

Exactly. S**ks, don't it?

Technically, I guess you could state that you were trying to increase value by putting in a new motor, etc. etc.... but I wouldn't get too aggressive. Bankers are...

Re: door stuck shut need helppppp!!! (Pothole987)

Yeah, it's pretty easy to jimmy a car door with the right tools. I've done it. Most mechanics have at one time or another (although it's getting harder - fewer cars out there with mechanical doors!)...

Lug Nut Wrench and other wheel issues...

Ok, folks - was spending some time today looking around and just fiddling with my new-to-me 97 Civic LX. Sorry for the "newbie" questions here, but aftermarket rims aren't something I've dealt with...

Re: door stuck shut need helppppp!!! (da9kid11)

Well, assuming that there's no body damage to the car, it sounds like your lock won't release.

I assume that the rest of them work?

Can you unlock the door with the key?

You're going to have...
