Ahh, that makes sense!

If you are having a hard time with the timing marks on the crank or pulley, you can try lining up the marks on the cam gears with the cylinder head.

Re: Bad Fuel pump/alternator/starter/battery? + lemon law

Lemon law only applies to new vehicles, so you are out of luck there unfortunately.

Best bet is to take it to a reputable shop locally and have them diagnose it. It could be something as simple...

Re: Valve Adjustment JDM B16A

Why are you curious about the timing marks? If it is to adjust the lash, you don't need to worry about it. Just do the following: as you are rotating the engine, watch for when the exhaust valves...

Re: Cam gears that have the most degrees of adjustment

Good questions! The issue I'm having is valve to valve clearance. Piston to valve is fine. When the head was rebuilt the shop installed oversized valves. I didn't request this to be done. I'm trying...

Cam gears that have the most degrees of adjustment

Hi everyone. Title says it all. I'm looking for cam gears that have the most adjustment built into them. Currently running skunk2 pro gears and I need an extra degree or two.

Re: 97 civic interchangeable

I think fit wise it will bolt up, assuming they're both D series. Electronics will be different though. Take a look at the connections for both trans. Do they look different?

No desire to pop in...

Re: Identify 2 interior pieces - 92 civic eg hatch

Aren't those the covers for the SRS module? If it's what I'm thinking, they clip together and go over the SRS module which should be just to the right of your gas pedal in the center of the car. It...

Re: Civic 98 hatch parts on a 97 hatch

Assuming same body style (Hatchback, Coupe, etc.) everything will fit.

OBD II happened in 1996. So you are already OBD II. ABS had been an option for a while by 1997, Idk if it was standard on...

Re: FS: gt30r 2006 RSX-S (mint) with ce28n's

Good luck with the sale man. I think you should keep it. Clean, done right Hondas are a rarity these days.

I learned the hard way when I tried to sell my EG a few years ago that I will never get...

What's up everyone!?
My uncles 94 Accord has an idle issue that I haven't experienced. It surges from 1000-1200 RPMs very quickly when it's cold and the check engine light comes on. Codes 3, 14 and...

Re: 1992 Civic VX restoration thread

The tube TomCat is talking about above is what I'm talking about. Do me a favor and start the car, then pull that hose off the throttle body and put your finger over the hole on the nipple and see if...

Re: 1992 Civic VX restoration thread

Where is the black hose attached to the nipple on top of the throttle body coming from? If the other end is coming from the evap cannister (the black round can underneath the fuel filter) I bet...

Re: Can't go over 50 mph

From what you're describing it sounds like a transmission issue. If the rpm increases but the speed doesn't there must be something in the trans slipping.

Make sure the trans fluid is filled to...

Re: Plug in old LS VTEC head need to be removed?

Thanks very much! After looking at it a bit more I figured if it was removed oil would come out there and wouldn't build enough pressure for VTEC to work. I definitely won't forget to plug the hole...

Plug in old LS VTEC head need to be removed?

What's up everyone! This head used to be on an LS VTEC. I'm putting it back on a B18C now. I can't remember if this plug is supposed to be there or not? I know the one on the surface of the head...

Re: deschlong's restoration of a '93 Si Hatch - lots of OEM goodness

:-( Sad to see the red one rusted out like that. It lives on in my red hatch with all the mods that I retrofitted thanks to you and that car!

Re: 95 honda del sol auto to manual conversion

Cruise down to the junk yard and measure the hole on a manual car. I would also wait till you get everything bolted in and see where the linkage ends up before cutting anything if I were you.
