Re: D15b7 Head Gasket replacement Qs (PICS)

Ok well I'll try got get my hands on a straight edge so I can tell if the block is warped. I'm just going to assume the head is warped and take it to the machine shop.

Re: D15b7 Head Gasket replacement Qs (PICS)

Yes it hit the red. More than once. The engine has about 190000 miles on it and this is the second head gasket job. It failed because I was a dumbass and did not fix a leaking radiator.

95 Civic - replacing my cylinder head

Hey guys. Blew my head gasket and so I'm tearing the engine apart. Definitely the most involved car repair I've ever done. Here's some pics:

Re: coolant flush and tune up

The parts are probably 150-200 dollars. Assuming 100 per hour, 3 hours of work for a tune up, coolant flush and belt swap isn't unreasonable.

Washed my 95 Civic today

Not bad for 16 years old eh? You'll have to excuse the extreme angle, I need all the camera tricks I can to make this thing look good. :)

Re: Girl Needs Help! 98 Civic LX Won't Pass Smog

Not to threadjack, but I ran my car for a few months with this fuse blown unknowingly. If the ECU is on it, doesn't that mean it shouldn't work at all?

Re: Think this bone stock EK is worth $3000?

Re: Fuel filter installation failure

Haha it's tempting since the damn thing is on so tight. Probably not worth killing myself over, though.

Re: Fuel filter installation failure

Ok. You think a pair of vice grips will get the fitting tight enough if I manage to get the thing off? Don't really like the idea of spraying fuel all over my engine.
