What ecu did you have in mind. Are you talking about their cam and crank trigger kit. I think it fantastic and the way to go if you have the option. ( Any aftermarket stand alone will work with this...

Are you running a completely stock ECU ? Has it been flashed.

Do you have any check engine lights.

#1 thing I would do is a get an OBD reader and scan ecu to see if there is any faults.

You do have the correct ecu, and being obd2, chances are it is not reflashed and you are on base map. This is good.

Its 4 wires, you can track them down on your harness and put a connector or solder :

T1 to AEM Pin 1 - Ground

Pin 2 - Cam trigger output

Pin 3 - Crank trigger output

Pin 4 - 8-16 volt...
