It's what you said, you can get some slop in belt/chain .
Taken from internetzz :
It is because the timing chain or timing belt always has a little give and this can obscure the movement of...

Re: help 2002 honda 2.3 Engine Management and Tuning help
Are you running a completely stock ECU ? Has it been flashed.
Do you have any check engine lights.
#1 thing I would do is a get an OBD reader and scan ecu to see if there is any faults.

Re: What ecu should I use for my 97 b20b vtech turbo
Do you have budget in mind. Is there a tuner near by . I usually start off with : reach out to your local tuner's and see what they like/use and is within your budget.

I dont have personally experience with the F20A7 , but it's the same for the F20b. So you should be on the right path .

Re: OB2A d16y7 stock wire harness to OB2A Vtec Engine & manifold
The easiest cheat way is to run the missing wires separately outside the main harness to directly to the ecu . Use the OBD2A pin out and run wires to those pin outs .
Easiest way , is find a D16y8...

I agree with JR, check the map sensor.
You do have the correct ecu, and being obd2, chances are it is not reflashed and you are on base map. This is good.
