I'd pull a cam retainer and check the machined surface between the cam and the respective cam retainer they don't have bearings and are known to go bad and score up the cam causing extra...

I had an issue were the spade terminals would vibrate loose inside the distributor and cause my car to stall out check the spade terminals on the ICM and on the coil also make sure none of the wires...

Make sure the tstat was installed spring side toward motor, your are right in your assumption that the warming up of your cars coolant is dictated by the thermostat only, you may have had some issues...

Sometimes that little c-clip on the end of the splines doesn't want to line up right and can be a pain in the ass, one way to make sure your OK axle is to take it off, if the axle goes in good then...

If you got the VTEC e then your VTEC isn't for power, engaging that solenoid should cause one of the intake valves to open only slightly giving you better mpgs in lean burn mode

As far as the burning of oil, Honda valve seals tend to be one of the main culprits of oil smoke in Hondas. You should prolly rebuild your head inspect and lap the valves and replace those seals, if...

I am aware that i should not drive with the service check connector jumped, as i stated before i would only like to advance my "base" timing...you mention an advancement of up 2*, which is what i had...

OK engine's a d15b7, cold air intake, headers, exhaust , hollowed out cat, and always gets 91 or higher octane... my question to you fellas is, if i jump the service connector and advance the timing...
