A/T accumulator
I have a '98 EX V6, and it sometimes has a hard shift to 2nd. After driving for a while, it's not as bad. I called a dealer, and they said that it's likely a stuck accumulator, but that it doesn't...

Re: ECM failure - can I swap & do I need to reprogram?
OK, that makes sense. They probably code the VIN into the ECM. I'm sure it has something to do with making sure the car isn't stolen or something.

Re: ECM failure - can I swap & do I need to reprogram?
I got a new ecm for my car, exact replacement. I talked to the dealer, and they'll reprogram it for me for $100, but they said they need the car to do it. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me. ...

Re: ECM failure - can I swap & do I need to reprogram?
Yeah, it does have an immobilizer so it will need to be reprogrammed. I'm just not sure how picky I have to be when finding a replacement. Can I pull one from an LX? EX? Etc?
Mine's a 4cyl,...

ECM failure - can I swap & do I need to reprogram?
I just had the CEL come on this morning. I had the codes checked, P1607 (ECM circuit failure) & P1259 (VTEC system malfunction). I'm guessing the P1259 comes from the ECM failing.
I've called...

Not exactly what you would call a simple task, eh? Personally, I like Option 1 the best, since I just dropped a bunch of money on new wheels. It would suck to have to get new 5-lug wheels.

A Haynes manual will show you how to clean it and service the outer boot. You can just remove the outer boot, clean it, grease it, and put another boot on it. There's a special tool that you need...

Not exactly that kind of 'salvage yard.' It's a U-Pull-It yard. So whatever you can find that you like, ... you guessed, bring your tools and go get it yourself.

Re: 5 speed swap h23 transmission into 6th gen Accord
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to skimp on a good tranny. There's a U-pull-it salvage yard nearby, and tranny's are $75. I figured I'd look around and see if I got lucky. Maybe there's a...

Re: Need to change trans fluid.. used wrong stuff!
Could be that the Ford ATF was too viscous and didn't lubricate properly. Small passageways don't get enough flow with high viscosity. Since you've driven it so much like that, it may have damaged...

Re: 5 speed swap h23 transmission into 6th gen Accord
Based on that, my best bet is probably to go with an F22 type. I haven't done any mods yet. I do a LOT of highway driving and though I would like more performance, it probably doesn't make a lot of...

Wow, great info. I misread what was on Wikipedia. You're right, the H22 (according to Wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_H_engine) has 190bhp, where the H23A1 only has 160. I wasn't...
