I'm super paranoid when I wash my engine bay. I will disconnect the battery and cover the distributor, battery leads, alternator, and fuse block. When you finish washing it, let it air out...

The only difference between a single din and double din is the size. The double is twice as large as the single. Double DIN openings are usually reserved for in-car Navigation units and TV screens...
