The thing is it is not easy to aling the TDC perfectly, maybe thats what it is. Or i removed the spark plugs before adjusting the valves. Shouldn't have i done it ?

I just did valve adjustment on my 96 civic (250k), and now the engine is louder. i removed the spark plugs before i remove valve cover. Shouldn't have i done it ? And i think it is little difficult...

98 Civic bad smell from air

There is bad smell coming from the vents when i turn the air or heater on, does anybody know what the problem might be? Water in the canals maybe ?

I had the same problem with 97 Nissan sentra. I took spark plugs out, they were really bad. I changed the spurg plugs, now the car is running great.

I got this feeler gauges for valve adjustment. I am planning to do it myself also. Do i need to replace the valve cover gasket, or do i need to use sealent before i put the valve cover back on ?
