Re: Seafoam BS.

If used correctly seafoam is a good product. I only use it right before a scheduled oil change so I can make sure that I have fresh oil in afterwards. There is always a possibility of washing down...

accord extended top hats?

Just ordered a new set of OEM top hats for my 99 Accord coupe. It is lowered on Koni / GC with 215/50/17's. I have 1 finger gap in the front, and have already trimmed the koni bump stop about 1 inch....

Re: Need different sleeves for Koni yellow GC setup?

Just purchased mine. They (GC) have a drop down menu when ordering the coilovers to specify which type of shock. Do some research on spring rates depending on what style of driving / level of...

Re: Son of vibration analysis protocol

Based on past luck, I only use OEM shafts anymore from majestic. Cost 4X as much, but will last a lot longer and no vibration. I also heard Raxle was very good.

Re: Removing stock suspension help

No easier way. $20 at autozone for compressors. Do not try it without spring compressors unless you like taking risk, it can seriously hurt someone.

Re: Intake manifold leak 1999 4 cyl vtec

I am not real sure, but I do not think it is possible for your intake gasket to leak oil. I have not taken a honda motor apart, but have built several other engines. A chevy V8 etc. can leak from an...

Re: 99 Accord Coupe koni/GC installation (update)

So after installing the rear Koni/GC kit I took a 2 hour road trip and the ride seemed a little stiff. Fronts are 430 and rears are 300. I know this is not as stiff as a lot of you are running, and...

Re: Camber off on only one wheel

With 199K on the odometer I would be looking at the bushings. Specifically the uppers on the rear. It is very hard to wiggle a suspension to see bad bushings unless they are really gone. If you back...

Re: Lowered

Try another type of penetrating oil, specifically used for stuck bolts. WD-40 is awesome, but does not have the penetrating abilities of the other specific types. Spray it several times, then use the...

Re: Koni/GC w/tophats, not going low enough?

Hopefully my terminology is correct. Either clock or re-clock as was explained to me is loosening the UCA, LCA, and other associated bushings connected to the suspension travel geometry (trailing arm...

Re: Koni/GC w/tophats, not going low enough?

did you loosen (re clock) all of your bushings? They can make a substantial difference. Just did mine and the re-clock really helped.

Re: Shocks/Springs for 06 TL Recomendations

Definitely go with OEM

I always replace #2 (two per shock, they will not come with koni's)

#11 - 1 per shock (rubber spring seat)

You will not need #9, it is the steel top hat that you can...

Re: Installed new suspension but wheel gap is uneven?

The two cheapest options to try and fix it are;

- re-clock all bushings as previously stated and see if that helps

- install all new spring/shock rubber

If you do both at the same time you...

Re: Shocks/Springs for 06 TL Recomendations

Re: Shocks/Springs for 06 TL Recomendations

I have only set-up 3 honda suspensions so take my recommendation with that in mind. I am by no means a suspension expert.

In every case I have used koni sports (yellows). Not because I need to...

Re: Automatic Transmission Fluid

It is not bad to do in all cases. Tranny fluid has cleaning/carrier properties that are great if the transmission is serviced on a regular basis. It does not matter how old or how many miles the...

I have googled and searched and...

Re: shock travel trick with koni GC 2.5'' drop

Right on point. I am on my 3rd set of Koni's. The (limited) warranty info is worded in their favor if not installed correctly or improperly installed. The shock fork trick will work, but it will...
