If you read the instructions on the kit, it should tell you to charge from the 'Low' end...the cap should have an 'L' on it (I can't remember if it is the blue or black cap).

Yes you should be able to hear it kick on...Or you could have someone stand infront of the car and watch for it to kick on. Once it comes on, you should be able to distinguish the sound of the fan...

If you restrict the fuel injectors from pulsing, and your spark plugs from sparking, cranking your engine over should purge out some of the gas. But I would presume this would cause a CEL to come on...

What you'll want to look for (which I'm sure you know) is your final drive gear ratio...Just b/c you have 6 gears (and 1 is a LOW...
