Re: Cable YS1 4th gear shifting trouble

Not yet. Exedy stage 1, sprung.

Thanks for the ideas. I will give Gearspeed a call and add clutch to my list to investigate.

Looking for advice and potential suggestions before I actually pull my trans apart.

Re: hawk dtc60 pads

How confident were you in your ability to properly achieve a bed-in procedure?

With the DTC-60 and Blues I had normally done a very official bed in procedure the day before a race following the...

Re: hawk dtc60 pads

The pad setup is certainly not the only factor. My car is very stable using DTC-60 front / HP+ rear.

Re: ITA integra LS fluids

Engine: Your favorite synthetic oil will be fine. I use both the Valvoline SynPower and the Valvoline Racing Synthetic. I use 10W-30, but you can use the thinnest that will give you the 10 psi per...

Re: First time on R-comp woes

It's not. I race with Midwestern Council, which runs a high speed autocross on the same track most weekends. There are many autocrossers using the autocross tires (Hankook C71, Hoosier A, even the...

Re: Racing in the Rain

This was my old method. Worked great. The biggest "problem" was that depending on consistency of the application, it would sometimes cause slight distortions. Nothing big, and was much better than...

Re: Budget minded Wheel tire setup 225 50 15

+1. I am actually competing for class wins and didn't even decide to buy those.

I use the 225/50R15 V710's on 7" Rota Slip's that come in at about 13.5 lbs for about $120/wheel. I thought this...

Re: Severe Head Gasket Leak....Help!

So was mine (I guess I forgot to add that part to that thread). I still remember what the machine shop guy said > "You know how when you are really, really looking for a leak, you can usually find...

Re: CRX Headlight Covers for Road Racing

Thanks for the info about GT styling, I might get a pair of those if I move to ST or Production.

To the original poster, if you care, removing the stock headlights is not IT legal (I am not...

I had a similar issue where everything seemed correct, yet the engine still leaked. I still don't know for sure, but I...

Re: Which are better? DA Integra wheels or VX wheels?

They definitely exist. My 1990 Integra (DA) had 14x5.5" steel wheels fitted as stock (used them as rains for a while before I sold them).

Re: Premature rear hub failure - 90 Integra

Do you have a particular theory on why that is causing the hubs to go bad? I should be able to do that easy enough, but I am skeptical since the current lower arm and spindle was brand new for this...

Re: Premature rear hub failure - 90 Integra

I got the car up in the air in the garage and the LF bearing is bad again. So the brand new Acura (NTN) rear hub/bearing didn't even make it a whole weekend (I only raced 6 of 18 laps before the...

Re: Premature rear hub failure - 90 Integra

Interesting idea. I will keep that in mind.

Last weekend I raced on a new hub that I ordered at the same time as the one that failed after 1 race. The car seemed to handle fine all weekend...

Re: hawk dtc60 pads

I think it depends on what you are gonna be doing. I think the biggest factor is that the HP+ is a street/track pad and the Blue/DTC-60 are race pads. I need heat in the 60's before they work to...

Re: Running two oil filter sandwith adaptor plates? Will it hold?

Doesn't someone make an adapter plate that will have feed lines for an oil cooler and NPT ports for pressure and temperature. I currently own 2 like that, but haven't looked in a while.

Re: 275/35/15 on EM1 Front wheel wells?

I don't autocross, but here is my racing experience.

I started with 205's on 6" wheels. I got the car pretty fast.
All the really fast guys were using 225's, so I tried 225's on the same 6"...

Premature rear hub failure - 90 Integra

I put new rear hub/bearing units on the rear of my 90 Integra at the beginning of this year (like I do every year). Before my last race I noticed the left rear had play in it, so I assumed it was...

Re: Getting rid of that sunroof...

If it's a race car than remove the sunroof mechanism, cut a piece of sheet metal to cover the hole (make sure to check your class rules to see if the plug material must be the same as the existing...
