Cheap, simple, AND clean? Sorry bud, doesn't quite work like that, unless you're willing to put in the elbow grease to fab up something yourself. There are some CF plugs floating around, but they are not cheap. Other than that, I'm not sure there are any readily-available premade ones. There are some decent write-ups about how to make your own though.
There is also the option of replacing most of the roof. This tends to be done for cage building, but would result in pretty significant weight loss if you have the reinforced sunroof skeleton currently.
Unfortunately, some of the older (and even some of the more recent!) threads covering this no longer have pics hosted. This thread has some useful links in it: https://honda-tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2567725&highlight=sunroof
And Powerneedy's build shows the full-roof replacement: https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...hlight=sunroof

There is no Cheap, simple, AND clean look... Cheap would be a sheet of metal your choose riveted or welded in...
Clean would be a carbon roof like in the picture. Clean and pretty easy to do if oyu can get past the fact of cutting some metal

Re: Getting rid of that sunroof...
I'm looking for the same thing, but I have to carefully do it the right way.
I'm converting my Si to a VX for Solo2 FSP class. Taking all that sunroof weight out at the top of the car will actually make a big difference since I have limited power.
I'm actually looking for a donar VX to take the headliner supports and skin from. It won't be cheap but it's cheaper than finding a clean VX hatch and swapping my Si drive train over.

I said cheap, but I din't mean that cheap... I've been looking for quite a while at the lighterfaster carbon plug, but I would prefer adhesive insted of welding... Most bodyshop use adhesive but it would involve an other design... Anyone have good pictures of what it look like from inside when all the sunroof is out of the car... that would help me...

I dont have any pics it just looks like metal will a couple cross if you would call them braces for the sun roof to bolt to. nothing to it. if you cut out the whole roof its put on with adhesive

If it's a race car than remove the sunroof mechanism, cut a piece of sheet metal to cover the hole (make sure to check your class rules to see if the plug material must be the same as the existing roof), and rivet it to the roof (use a sealer to make sure it doesn't leak).

There is always reskinning the roof (as documented here) if you are feeling adventurous.

He's the kind of person that buys volks on a whim so im sure he didnt even consider the price.
No ones twisting your arm to buy it either, it was posted for the idea, and the option.

The answer to that (like just about everything) is it depends. Pay close attention to the class rules. Improved Touring requires glass sunroofs to be removed, others may be run in the closed position. Showroom Stock allows even glass sunroofs to remain in the closed position.

Be careful with the carbon roof caps, you may not end up with the "clean" look you want. I opted to go this way. It was easier than welding in an RS roof (my preferred method) and not much more expensive than a lighter faster plug (but looks better, IMO), but it's far from a nice quality piece. I'm sure there are high quality ones out there, but if you're **** about quality be sure to see the piece in person before purchasing, photos can hide tons of flaws. But functionally it's fine so far, I just hope it's not too thin and thus possibly not very long lasting.

If you plan on re-creating the roof or plugging the hole with carbon fiber, check the rules of the class you plan of being it...some only allow metal.
