Re: getting rdy to turbo, what do i need? help..

Ok I'll say it point blank. An oversized throttle body wont benefit unless he has a aftermarket manifold, the head ported & polished and 3" intercooler piping... and you def wont be able to tell a...

Re: getting rdy to turbo, what do i need? help..

This would be pointless at his power levels. Im running a gsr throttle body and my motor breathes like a champ. A stock ls head doesnt even flow well enough to require an oversized throttle body or...

Re: getting rdy to turbo, what do i need? help..

You will need to get a gm 3bar map sensor, a stock honda map sensor wont read over 1bar of boost. You just hook it to a vaccume source and wire it into your wiring harness in place of the oem sensor.

Re: IS THIS A REAL GARRETT? HELP LIKE NOW

Looks real to me... Can you post a closer pic of the silver tag on the compressor housing. If turbo's are rebuilt some companies put there tag in place of the previous tag.

Re: getting rdy to turbo, what do i need? help..

Compression and leakdown as mentioned... you may need to spend money on the motor but I doubt it.

As for fuel, I'd get a walbro 255. You can find them on here in the sponsers section for around...

Re: what tranny should i put on my b20?

Your traction problems are because of your heavy foot haha what tires are you running? I can hold traction in second gear all day on the street with radials. No traction bar yet either.

Re: oil leak...return line the problem?

Ive had an oil leak before that would leave a nickel spot over night, never really worried about it. After a week of driving the whole undercarriage of my car and engine was covered in oil lol took...

Re: what tranny should i put on my b20?

If your going for track times and acceleration, b16 trans hands down. Its a proven fact.

If your a daily driver then porsonally I'd go with a gsr tranny.

If your a old or a mom then go with a...

J. Mills I dont believe the OP was trying to bash your shop by any means or blame you for the leak. I took it as he was just asking for help to find a solution.

To the OP, what size feed line...

Re: Crankcase evacuation issue...

I would run the vent hoses coming off the valve cover to a catch can... once you have a catch can setup you will be disgusted when you see what all is going into your intercooler, piping, and turbo....

Re: turbo, blown seals?

There arent actual seals in a journal bearing turbo. It works similiar to a ring on a piston, the only time Ive had a problem with oil leaking into the hot side is when the bearings were wore causing...

Yupp thats wrong... Run the vaccume source from your "T" to the boost controller. Then from the boost controller to the side port on the wastegate. Leaving the top port to be vented to the...

Re: turbo, blown seals?

You cannot tell if the seals are bad by blowing through it lol

If there is oil in the hot side around the wheel then chances are it needs a rebuild. Is it a ball bearing turbo or journal bearing...

Re: reuse oem bearings with rebuild?

IMO oem Honda bearings are hard to beat. I've used them on all three of my motor builds, current setup is even running two different size main bearings.

You should have the top port vented to the atmosphere and the side port connected to a vaccume source.
