Re: K24 turbo powered Formula off road car! must see!

Does anyone have any links to the information about this vehicle any more? Looks like most everything has disappeared from the thread other than the FB video and one video on youtube.

Re: ***WELDING RANDOM CHAT THREAD***

Are you saying that piecut bend wouldn't work, or just that the aesthetics of it don't match the sweet looking manifold?

Re: Post your best welds!!!!!!!

Ok, thanks!

Is that for a 9/20 size torch, or more like a 17? I didn't see any cups that big for the gas lens on my #9 size torch last time I was at the welding store (Friday).

Re: Tacking Non-Magnetic Piecuts?

Me? I kind of doubt you'd be asking me about that abomination I posted pictures of, but I don't see who else you'd be asking...

So anyway, I got a 6" buffing wheel from Menards for my 6" bench...

Re: Post your best welds!!!!!!!

I missed the "out of stock" when I was looking. Thanks!

So do people here like to use the Furick setups, or something else?

Re: Post your best welds!!!!!!!

Maybe nobody had an opinion to offer, but just in case someone with an opinion just missed the question... I'd like to know too! :)

Re: ***WELDING RANDOM CHAT THREAD***

Is an angle grinder cut good enough? I don't have a band saw, and I don't think it will go well if I try to cut this can with my dry cut saw. Seems dangerous. Lol

Did you do it?

Re: ***WELDING RANDOM CHAT THREAD***

Do you remember what the differences were between the settings on these two beads? (pretty nice work BTW for first messing with Al!)

Re: ***WELDING RANDOM CHAT THREAD***

Lol, well believe me, I don't have it! It is 100% struggle. But it seems like it must be good practice... I guess... Time will tell.

Thanks for the settings, they are way different than what I...

Re: ***WELDING RANDOM CHAT THREAD***

This issue has irritated me a little bit too. But damn, that 4C view is pretty awesome! Does yours have the 4C? I had the prior most up-to-date version lens in it before that, and it was very...

Re: Tacking Non-Magnetic Piecuts?

Sorry, that I'm not sure I am envisioning this correctly, but are you saying that each piece has a total angle on it of 15 degrees, so the angle of each cut is 7.5 degrees? I think that makes...

Re: ***WELDING RANDOM CHAT THREAD***

Okay, here is my first attempt at getting some of this low-end stuff figured out with my new 2016 AHP machine. It does things a little bit differently than the "old" 2015 one, so I'm having to try...

Re: ***WELDING RANDOM CHAT THREAD***

Please share your settings and post up some coke can pictures from the AHP!

I've been reading around the web for the past hour or so, and it seems that the SSC pedal for the AHP welders may or may...

Re: ***WELDING RANDOM CHAT THREAD***

I'm definitely willing! Any help with the research is appreciated. (I'd like to buy the right one first, if possible, instead of getting stuck with additional pedals that aren't great)

EDIT: A...

Re: ***WELDING RANDOM CHAT THREAD***

Why didn't I think of that?!?!?! Lol, JK, just being a smartass. I do appreciate suggestions!

I have read/heard that one problem with these AHP welders is that the pedal doesn't allow a very low...

Re: ***WELDING RANDOM CHAT THREAD***

Well, I'm not a great welder, but the pulse feature on my 2015 model helped me to really get control of my heat situation when welding the thin sections of aluminum tubes on the inside of a piecut...

Re: ***WELDING RANDOM CHAT THREAD***

Mine showed up today too! Welds like "butta".... But I'm not sure it welds better than my 2015 model. High freq pulse will be fun to play with though.

Re: Tacking Non-Magnetic Piecuts?

Thank you for this!

Up to what diameter tube are you able to cut so that it fits into the 4x4 angle for tacking? And what is your normal angle of cut if you have one?
