Re: Need input. Cf hood/ trunk

I have both CF hood and trunk on my 4th gen, however, they're both VIS. Fitment is going to be hit or miss most of the time, as both VIS and Seibon create their hoods and trunks from molds - so not...

Re: Roll cage in 1992 prelude

Lolol, mod points. Seriously, spend your money elsewhere - looks like you need to replace the timing belt and water pump on your H22 judging by your build thread... and fix the rust on your rear...

Will OEM lug nuts bolt down properly - ARP extended studs, 15MM spacer, OEM wheels

Ordered a set of ARP extended wheel studs and 15mm hub centric spacers to flush out the rear end. I'm rolling on 95 SE wheels and would like to know if I can re-use my factory lug nuts or not. If I...

Re: Intermittent low/sputtering idle @ start up

I have never done a compression test before, I am interested in doing so - would like to know if its boost ready, haha.

I have been running a bottle of Chevron fuel injector cleaner. Idle is still...

Re: Intermittent low/sputtering idle @ start up

Well, still sputters and backfires whenever I start the car up after it's warm/hot at idle - intermittent again. It's like it has to think for a minute how to idle correctly. Giving it throttle...

Re: Intermittent low/sputtering idle @ start up

Exactly what I did as soon as I realized it was just soft carbon build up. On another note, I finished the EGR port cleaning and re-installation of the intake manifold with new gasket and injector...

Re: Intermittent low/sputtering idle @ start up

Just a quick update:
Took the intake manifold off last night and to my surprise, all the bottom nuts were either loose or not tight enough - vacuume leak. Also, I just finished drilling the EGR port...

Re: Intermittent low/sputtering idle @ start up

Thanks for the reply. Luckily, I am familiar with the EGR port cleaning on these intake manifolds and you're right; they probably could use a cleaning. I just don't feel like taking that intake...

Intermittent low/sputtering idle @ start up

This has been bugging me for quite some time, but not enough to dig into it any further. I do have some time off for Thanksgiving, so figured this time is as good as any to figure this out. 1993...

Re: What Have you done to your Prelude today?

30 minute valve adjustment turned into a whole day ordeal after breaking the middle valve cover stud... gah! Luckily, found a guy on Craigslist who was parting out the head off his H23.

Re: where does the vacuum line on top of the rear radiator mount go?!?!!?!?

Rear radiator hose mount? You mean the thermostat housing? If so, there are two, not vacuum hoses, but coolant lines. Hose directly on top of this housing runs to a nipple underneath the intake...

Re: AC fan will not shut off after HOURS of sitting

I've seen my radiator fan come on after shutting the engine off probably a total of 3 times, haha. It's very rare and if it does, I figure it's a bad thing since it should only come on during VERY...

Re: AC fan will not shut off after HOURS of sitting

Yep, have always bled the coolant according to the Helms. However, normally the bigger coolant fan comes on after shutting the car off if the temp is too high - however, I'm having the condenser fan...

AC fan will not shut off after HOURS of sitting

Replaced a few coolant hoses under the intake manifold on my 4th gen, bled coolant, yada yada. Went and drove the car around, no overheating issues at all even after sitting in the drive-thru for 10...

Re: OEM or After Market Motor Mounts?

Mostly true, as having the intake manifold off would aid in you being able to see what you were doing down there, tight spot. But I was able to slip my Explicit Speed Performance rear mount out and...

Re: Suggestions on suspension

Really low & smooth ride? Not gonna happen. I have D2s which are pretty much exactly like F&F coil overs. They're a pretty good "entry" level coil over but are not going to get you low enough if you...

Re: Here's mine....

Body looks very straight, nice! Don't see that color very often. Definitely ditch the fender liners. Great platform for a build & manual trans swap, good luck!

Anyone in DFW with a press to install new bearings & bushings?

I have the knuckle and old wheel bearings out but need to have the new ones pressed in. Also need the old bushings on the LCA pressed out and new ones pressed in.

Edit:
Nevermind, got her done.

Re: What Have you done to your Prelude today?
