the guy in the video said it ended up being his ac idler pulley. since i dont have ac, the only bearings that could make this noise are the tensioner bearings. my mechanic told me my b16 doesnt have...

i was told perhaps its the tensioner pulley. since the timing belt was now "re tensioned" it could have casued this noise to come. make any sense? was also told that i dont have an idler pulley and...

is it worth putting in type r cams into b16 without valvetrain upgrade or tuning?

i have an issue with my noisy lost motion assembly's. on cold start ups my b16 jdm second gen makes that type writer ticking noise for the first minute or so, then it goes away. Iv had this problem...

GOT THE NOISE FIXED! it was the idler tensioner! easy fix got it done for free too! thanks for the help guys

I need to change my fuel pump, honda says you can do it through the back seats, but some forums say you must drop the tank....i have an 88 civic dx hatch

what are my options for bearings in that area? i already did the alternator bearing. what else could it be, something under the cover right? near the water pump?

yes at first it was only for a second, now it goes for longer....il try disconnecting the alternator belt...the only annoying thing is i have to wait overnight for the noise to come back, if i drive...

When i got my motor swap 3 years ago i supposedly got it changed...havent put too much miles on it in 3 years since i never winter drive it...What other bearing can it be...what about idler pulley...

The alternator was jsut changed so the belt was as well...Dont even know where to start anymore really...

not talking about the valve tick...start listen at 13 seconds...the sound ends at about 30 seconds...and those arnt the valves ticking, its my lost motion assembly...

coolant temp gets to about 170 180 ( i have an aftermarket temp gauge)
The coolant was really nice looking after i changed it...no brown

The coolant was just changed...the water pump supposedly changed 2 years ago...Its just really hard to find it cause i only have about 15 seconds each day at start ups..then its gone for the...
