Is it worth it to pickup one with 150k+ right now? I feel like I might be able to score one for around 4k. It will have to be 5 speed but I'm just wondering at what point should I really be concerned...

I daily the scorpion.

Quieter on the highway and if I crash in it it won't cost me 800 to replace =)

Besides helmets used gear is a great deal. Unless obviously worn and crash torn. Jackets, pants, boots, gloves don't wear out like the liners in your helmet. Save yourself some money, buy used.

I've rode a Michelin with a patch in the tread groove probably 2oclock from center for 4000+ miles, was like that when I bought the bike. It was fine at 30...

Can you get any sort of a wiring diagram that explains what pin does what for each connector? Sounds like the difference is the 04' model uses the 3-pin and one might be a ground as opposed to the 98...
