well ive been saving up like crazy and looking for bikes over several months and have finally come across something that im crazy about.

its an 04 cbr f4i with 3400 miles. Bike runs great, no problems. have a few minor scratches on the fairing decal. has an undertail eliminator kit but other then that completely stock. he is asking 4500 and will throw in an alpinestar jacket and gloves, hjc helmet, and the stock turn signals.

is this a decent deal or overpriced? anything specific i should look for with the 04 f4i? i tryed talkin down to 4000 but lowest hed go was 4500 from 4800(kbb value).

ive seen pretty clean f4i's selling in the 3500-3k price range. i wouldnt pay that much, you can get a decent 600rr for the 4500 range.

4500 is a bit too much. Bikes don't depreciate like cars thou, but this time of year, I'd pass. Used gear is never a deal when buying a bike.

I disagree. I read cbrforum all the time and look at F4i's for sale and I haven't seen any going for that price except maybe '01's in crap condition. I've seen mint condition '01's-'02's going for $4k. Personally, $4k-4500 seems more like ballpark on an '04< if it's in great condition IMO.

well i check craigslist almost everyday and ive seen some nice f4i's goin for 3500-3k. ive even seen pretty clean 929s goin for 3500.

the deals are out there especially right now since its winter and teh economy blows. my friend is letting his 05 gsxr 600 with a 750 swap go for 3500.

Craigslist is going to be area related. If I search for ones in my area I see some going in the $3k+ range but they don't look all that great. Mint I'm seeing low $4k where I live. :shrugs:

yeah im doing the MSC in april.

this bike is in excellent shape. ive seen alot of bikes but with mods that are in the 3-3500 range but always sumthing up w them.

929rr is 2 big 4 me right now.

You can find '05+ gsxrs, R6s, and 600rrs for around 4-4.5k here in VA and the surrounding states. Shop around

But, that price isn't bad at all for an f4i, but I think you can do a little better.

Besides helmets used gear is a great deal. Unless obviously worn and crash torn. Jackets, pants, boots, gloves don't wear out like the liners in your helmet. Save yourself some money, buy used.
