quick question....got an 06 wrx and soon will be doing a spark plug change....from searches and what not most people have changed from the stock iridium plug to coppers...
the only ngk's i've found...

intake manifold swap on dpfi

so we had an si intake manifold with fuel injectors, fuel rail, all the works on it. decided to throw it on the stock d15 motor that is a dpfi. converted it to mpfi and everything starts up.

when you do initial timing with the timing belt...

when you do initial timing with the timing belt on a si motor, you do not line up the "two lines on the cam gear to the head". on the si motor when lined up correctly the came gear will be two teeths...

recheck the timing on the cam gear. on the zc/si motor when lined up correctly the cam gear is two teeths to the left (counterclockwise). i had the same problem.

here's a tip..make sure you have all you wires...

here's a tip..make sure you have all you wires going from the ecu to the dizzy wires soldered and heat shrink. we left ours exposed just to make sure the car would start and it was putting out a code...

Ecu was throwing a code 4 so we said to hell with it and bought a new distributor off "distributor king." Short story, there are two distributor parts number for the 1.6 non vtec sohc engine, years...

we pulled the plugs and to our surprise all four plugs are drenched in fuel...
is this being caused by bad injectors or is the pressure reg. letting to much fuel in?
has this caused any effects on...

only code it was throwing was a code 10 which was the iat. we have that fixed now.
the firing order is correct. my guess is also that timing may have skipped just a lil.

so we have everything double checked and checked all over again. it's a dpfi to a mpfi swapped. everything is fine but somehow the engine will not start.
things checked: resistor box is good-
fuel...

obviously it's not a code 19 for code 19 refers to a car with an automatic tranny..
. the owner realized that he swapped out the dx starter and had it put on the zc motor. now i realized that it fit...

stuck on this mpfi swap

so far we have everything wired up on the sohc zc non vtec motor..
after double checking all wires and double checking again...the only conclusions we have are the codes the ecu are throwing out.....

as i stated we pulled that bracket off exactly a 1990 honda civic ex which had the 1.6 motor in there...this bracket is the only thing causing us not to finish the swap...pain in the arse i tell...

no...it has nothing to do with the dpfi to mpfi conversion. i have enough info on that thanks to you. i do have a question on the mounting bracket for the ac/power
steering motor/compressor......
