I have never had a problem with the HF spot drill bit, as i have used 1 1/2 to cut out a roof, and 2 core support.
you have to use oil, and pilot drill the hole.

h/f series head can be made to work with almost any h/f block..
where as the D series head does not match the block to mount it to(H/F).

I was just making a point that two dis-similar base metals can be joined, with the appropriate filler metal. so it doesnt really matter if it a butt, lap, T, corner...

anything that the h22 timing belt touches, should be a h22 component.
h22 crank gear, cam gear, modified water pump with an h22 gear....

go to rywire and see if they can make a conversion harness for you to run your ckp from the distributor.. comming from a 5 gen, i bought one to move the sensors signals from the distributor
