Re: 2008 CRV passenger door won't lock

Had a chance to look at this car. There is something physically wrong with the locking mechanism. The actuator tries to lock it, but cannot, and the locking button won't move smoothly to engage the...

2008 CRV passenger door won't lock

The power door lock on my coworkers CRV no longer works. Nothing from the master switch or the switch on the door. I would try to fix it myself, but it's not my car, and I'm really not familiar with...

Re: 1998 Honda Accord Random Stalling issue.

Good idea to check your O2 sensor(s) (Oxygen Sensor) if never been replaced. Those don't always place a trouble code in the computer; at least mine didn't, but mine is an OBD-1 computer. Anyway, that...

Re: please help 99 Honda Accord bad/low idle

Does sound like a vacuum leak. Check everything you took off that is part of the intake system. EGR Valve not seated properly, or without a good gasket. is a vacuum leak every time. Same with IACV....

Re: F23a1 Fluctuating idle and soft start?

Maybe clean or replace the Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) and if the car still has the original Oxygen Sensor, replace it. Good sparkplugs are also essential to smooth running.

Re: Speedometer Issue

More often than not, that's because of aged solder connections on the PCB that feeds the speedometer gauge. It's mostly a warm weather (hot day) problem, and goes away when temperature is moderate or...

Re: Speedometer doing gymnastics

Almost certainly the solder joints heating up and separating. Mine does it when warm, only on mine (tach and speed) drop completely to ZERO after bouncing once or twice. It's a used cluster. I think...

Re: Speedometer doing gymnastics

The key is whether the odometer (total miles on car) continues to accrue miles while the speedo and, or tach, are bouncing or sitting at zero. If the odometer continues to roll upwards, you can...

Re: Driver side door latch failed, can I cut open outer door skin to access mechanism

Take off the door panel from inside the car so you can work on the latch with the drilling procedure Honda recommends. Just do all the normal steps for removing the panel. The holder that is obscured...

Re: 2002 Accord stalls out

Yeah I know nothing about immobilizers and such. Wonder if your fuel pump may have been slowly failing. If its original (not impossible with Honda) or an aftermarket one with a lot of miles on it, it...

Re: 2002 Accord stalls out

Seems like you've narrowed it down to the ECU, but it could be something wrong in the path from the distributor to the ECU. I assume the same Code returned? The more I read about that code, the more...

Re: 2002 Accord stalls out

No problem. That guy chased that code like crazy, but seemingly he found the answer. Good luck resolving yours.

Re: 2002 Accord stalls out

This Accord was a generation prior to yours, but the symptoms are similar, so in case it will help, check this out:

washer hose/nozzles - what to buy, where to buy

I need to replace or rebuild the windshield washer system on the Accord. The tank and pump are fine, but all of those is dry rotted, and one has a clog I cannot find. I also think I have wax in one...

Re: Idle "hunting" after warm

What RPM range is the Idle at with the IACV unplugged? If the idle settles to a very slow, barely keeping running, level, then your IACV might be the proper. They do go bad. Especially if any...

Re: 1995 honda accord boggy slow humming acceleration

Is the bogging and jerking bad enough that you feel the need to get off the road, and out of traffic, to work it out? I ask because a failing oxygen sensor can cause that kind of bogging down. But...

For any are wanting to restore the vapor barrier in their doors, I found that a cheapo $5 shower curtain liner from Walmart works great, or any plastic with decent weight would work. As for adhesive,...

Re: Another dash light issue thread. 2000 accord

I don't know where the fuses are on the Accords far newer than mine, but that car may have several fuse boxes. Find the one that protects the dash. If that fuse is good, you might need to see if...

Re: 93 Accord backfires, idles like a Harley.

A weak Oxygen Sensor can cause those symptoms in these Accords. And on OBD1, the condition placing a code in the computer is not guaranteed. That car only has one O2 sensor. You should check it.

Re: Engine sputters on acceleration

If its got a lot of miles on the o2 sensor (Oxygen sensor) you may want to look at that. A weak one can cause the sputtering and bucking you are describing. I think your year has just one o2 sensor....
